Installed a new ati underdrive crank damper, after about 3 months and a couple hundred miles its leaking oil. Is the 4th gen the same as the 3rd gen, with only a seal on the timing chain cover?

If the cover should be removed to properly change the seal should I add a new cam at the same time since most of it will be apart anyway...

Just have to remove the pulley to change the seal.

You just need to pull the damper to replace the seal BUT if you're looking for an excuse to do an upgrade you can always tel the wife you need to pull the cover and since it's off, well, you may as well do a cam.

I thought it sounded like a good excuse.. Oh well, I'm trying to buy a new bike so I can satisfy my speed itch more easily. Guess I should wait on the cam.

Does the damper require a dab of sealant in the keyway? I know on the ford I just finished it was required
