I'm not sure since I own a 4th gen, but I think if you put spacers on you don't need to. Actually I think the 2500 shocks just make the ride better... But like I said I'm not too sure

Get some Rancho 5000 series shocks. They are setup to allow for leveling kits. They allow about 2 inches of play in either direction.

well im tryin to sell the truck, and my buddy up north has a set off his 13 2500 that have 500miles on them and also a set off his 09 1500 that have 1000 miles. He said I could have one or the other for free,just pay shipping. So I really want to have to dump as little money into this thing as needed.
