Hi all, recently i replaced my entire ac system and went to go charge it, but noticed i have to low side port, instead i have two high side ports and cannot charge the system. Ive looked all over the internet for 3 hours trying to find a line with a low side port that would make it possible for me to attach a refridgerant dispenser to, this whole situation makes me want to put my fist through the windsheild, how is there no line available on ebay?? Or anywhere else on the web? All lines for my year that i can see have the larger high side port, whereas the old line i took off and threw away (i know, stupid decision) had the smaller service port. Does anyone know where i can find one? My truck is a 1995 2500 with the 5.9 V8. Thanks in advance, all help is greatly appreciated

96 was the switch over year for 134a. So you may have an R12 system and that is why connectors won't fit.

I tried to retrofit the system but the fittings are welded in place so i have to buy the whole line, if i ordered a line fron 96 would that have the right port? They all seem to have high side ports all the years that i looked up for the second gens, only rhe deisel line had the right fitting.

These trucks has 134 in them from the get-go. An R12 line is threaded like a tire valve stem.

If you have the newer 134a fittings, the quick connect low side port is 1/2" in diameter(measured largest part) the high side is 5/8" in diameter(measured largest part). The older R-12 systems, the low side was a 1/4" flare(threaded) the high side was 3/16" flare(threaded).
Follow the larger of the two aluminum tubes coming from the compressor back to where it connects to the evaporator at the firewall , the low side port will be in that line.
