I don't actually own a ram but I am swapping a 97 5.2 into my 90 wrangler.

All my searching has turned up empty and if it is something that is easy to find I apologize in advance.

I'm curious if anyone knows what year dodge if at all started putting body control modules in rams. Reason being I am having to piece this swap together and I'm looking at a 99 ecm.

Also any reccomendstions where to find FSMs for this generation dodge?

Thank you!
JC

Thank you for the reply. Is there a difference between the 3 plug ecms and 1 plug ecm? I found a 94 ecm that is from a manual.

Taking a obd2 engine back to obd1 would just be swapping the sensors?

Thanks again for your help!!

You are going to need the matching wiring harness out of whatever year truck to match the year pcm you are going to use. So if you can find the manual wiring harness to go with the 94 manual pcm that would be good. One would have to check the part numbers for the OBD1 and OBD2 sensors to see if there is any difference between the two.
