2012 ram 2500, I've been driving it for a week now. It's raining out and when I pulled into the garage and got out there was a burning rubber smell? Never noticed it before. I checked everything out, parking brake wasn't on, hubs weren't hot, couldn't find the source. No smoke. Took it for another spin around the block and the smell didn't come back.

Should I be concerned?

I'm quite sure. You don't have hubs on your 2500 , your probably smelling your pads, they have a coding onthen that half to wear off before the pads are worn in, , they don't half to be hot for this smell btw , but this is only going by you having it only s week, how long have you have you rig

agreed its probably your brake pads and or rotors. if your feelin spontanious, take the wheels off and maybe caliper and hit the rotor with some brake clean and wipe them off to get the coating off

You are smelling your blow bye tube .. Heated oil

Only way to solve this it to re rout the line to the rear of the truck .

Another thing it could be is the undercoating on the exhaust pipe or near the exhaust system get hot and melting a bit. Mine did that for many months before it quit...
