Write both names on 2 pieces of paper and place them in a hat! Hold the hat up high in the air and have one of your kids reach into the hat and chose 1 piece of paper!

Open the paper up and there is your answer! Both are outstanding and Well Proven! Your $$$ is well spent on either one! You will not be disappointed with your choice.

No, no, that's not scientifically right: Not everyone has a hat, or children...JEEZ....
One should choose the vender located closest to them. you know the US mail has to deliver these class B mail tunes and it takes longer the farther away you are...duh.

Seriously, I picked Sean as I could buy the tuner and the custom tune, and the ported TB and the T stat all in one shop. As that's as far as I plan on going ( for now) with my Ram it just made sense to me.

Some people go tune crazy. Truth is with a stock engine and common bolt ons your only gonna get a given amount no matter who tunes it.

I'd suggest to the OP that you look at both of the vendors sites, think about your goals and pick the one you like, for whatever reason you deem valid, they both seems to have stellar reps for tuning the trucks.

Talk with both guys and see who you want to do business with more. Considering they will be someone you build a relationship with get a feel for who works with what you want better. This topic is a massive competition on the forum typically, but you should know there are very happy customers that run HF & JG tuning.

Hell I don't run either and I am VERY happy with my FRP tune from Flyin Ryan! Lol

Which tuner are you running? I'd really like to have Ryan tune mine but I'm running Diablo and that isn't gunna work with me for him to tune.

Kotta390 is running the SCT X4 .
I use SCT and HPtuners for my tuning.
Both work great, both have their advantages/disadvantages. Until one of the 3 big tuning companies either releases TCM support or is able to flash the PCM on 2015+ without sending it out, all 3 of them have the same capability, they just do it in different flavors.

I could go and buy the Diablo software today, but I have no interest in doing so.
If you have no choice but to run Diablo, Jay is the vendor to use. I hope that helps.

I like the fact that you're using HPT especially for those of us that have GM vehicles as well, makes loading tunes for different makes waaaay easier!

Absolutely. It's nice for people with multiple vehicles or that simply don't need a handheld.

Nice to see you Ryan. Don't think I've seen you on the forums anywhere before.

Is there anyone else running these tuners with FlyingRyan's tuning??

I've been tuning Chrysler since 2011, and using SCT since 2012. I don't make it onto the forums much, too much misinformation and drama that i dont care to get tangled in. I am giving RamForum a shot to see if the money they charge for vendors is worth it.

Most of my time has been spent on the Small Block Magnum, Jeep I6, and 3.7/4.7 with the occasional 3rd gen Hemi. More recently I have been pursuing the Viper V10, 3.6 Pentastar and Hemi/VVT Hemi markets with alot of success.

I am the only tuner in Texas that actively supports the entire 96-2016 Dodge/Jeep/Chrysler lineup.

How are the results for tuning the 3.6 Pentastar???

Maybe he doesn't want to deal with the part you're obviously trying to drag out. Truth be told, if you can work a spreadsheet and read a book, you can learn to tune pretty damn easily. I could teach my 11 year old to do it.

If I could've gone with SCT I would have, but there was some reason I couldn't.... can't remember. Maybe it's because I've got a '14 with a 6 speed? When I called them there was something about my truck that wasn't compatible. Oh well, I don't know.

Hey Ryan thanks for responding! Nice to see you on the forum as well. I knew when I bought my Diablo( summer sizzler rebate got me to buy a Diablo) I was x-ing myself from being able to have you tune my truck but I might switch down the road so I can use you unless you go and buy Diablo's software later. Until then I'll just be watching over the fence seeing all the great work you're doing.

Have only done a handful, but with a 93 octane tune a 25-30 whp increase is realistic. They are great engines for the displacement.

Hope you don't mind me posting a link to your site. frptuning.com / Flyin' Ryan Performance

So question? I see you have whats called HPTuners tuning without tuning device. Does that mean you send me a tune and I load it in my SCT or Diablo tuner?
