Unless you look at it everyday and think, what if....

Then go 2.1" in front with a 3/4" spacer in the rear....

Then you look at your truck and want bigger tires before your current set is done :roflsquared:

bahahaha! I'm not touching it. I've tried so many different setup's, and have had the struts in and out more times then I car to admit. Therefore if I spend anymore time or money on it I will be going to a true 4" lift.

I would like to change out my tires to 295 60 20's though. Unfortunately, that is not happening since I went with 275 65 20's just a few months ago. Unless I can find someone to buy my 275 65's. :)

Since you mentioned a 4" lift, here's a little food for thought....

4" Superlift w/bils @ 1.4" and 295/60r20s. After teh 4" lift, I looked at the truck and thought, "dammit, I should have gone 295/65s!"

The first pic shows the room in the fender wells better, but the truck is filthy. The other pics are after a nice quick detail.

I'm liking the 4" Superlift. Damn nice truck!

Thanks, but she's gone now.... I loved her, she was sexy, but she liked to be pampered and I needed a truck to be a truck . Now I have a beast of a truck in the 2500 flavor on 37s.

Does look better lifted. My brother asked after getting the Ram, "I thought you were going to get a 4wd??" They're definitely lower in the front. What do the 2500's look like in terms of being level?

I would hesitate to mess with mine for a couple reasons:

1) Don't want to accelerate half-shaft wear (drive a lot of hwy miles)
2) Probably affect fuel economy (but I doubt my much)
3) Handling
4) Looks cool but part of the reason they're lower is to meet bumper laws. If ya get into an accident and hurt someone, any lawyer's going to come after ya.
5) Over-the-hood visibility is bad enough as it is

But yeah, they're definitely low in the front. Kind of defeats the purpose of being 4x4. The approach angle on these with the lower dam is terrible. Heck, I'm going to have to be careful going into the driveway this winter when the plow leave a big pile of snow in front. Wasn't a problem with my old GMC! I bet they sell a lot of replacement air dams..

Curious how she liked to be pampered? I've always been a GM guy myself, and my Dodge is the first Dodge that I have owned outside of demolition derby cars. However, my Dodge has been rock solid for the first 100k. Hoping that she doesn't want to start getting pampered now that she has 100k on her.

Really it was me. It was too nice of a truck to have dirty all the time. Couldn't load up the rear like the 2500. Payload went down more after the lift. The springs seemed to be a softer rate than stock. Pulling a travel trailer after the lift I started getting the tail wagging the dog. Maybe a WD hitch would have solved my issue and adding air bags, but again, I needed more payload.

On daily commutes, I do miss that 1500. Drove so smooth and plush compared to a 2500. I also miss the wheel spinning, always ready to go fast feel of the 1500. The stock dual exhaust also sounded much better on the 1500. My 1500 was a great truck, I just needed more truck.

Funny, but a stock 2500 was almost the same height in the rear as my 1500 with a 4" lift. So a level on a 2500 visually is just about level to a 1500 with a 4" lift. Oh, and a 2500 will fit 295/65r20s (35" tire) stock with some very minor trimming on the plastic fender liners.

That makes sense to me. I had really been contemplating going to a 2500 simply for the payload. These 1500's simply lack the payload that a guy needs if you are pulling anything of any weight. I had a 28' travel trailer with a WD hitch and my 1500 still squat'd like crazy. I plan to put bags in, but I realize that doesn't increase my payload any. I will say that my 1500 pulled my Travel Trailer very nicely, and I had no troubles there.

After shopping the market to see the condition that many of the 2500's were in compared to my 1500, and the 7-10K to boot for more miles, and a truck that was in worse shape, I decided against the upgrade. At least for now... :)
