Like everyone said, takes several power cycles to settle down, but it pretty much has. I like the update overall so far, even tho i lost streaming apps! And that assistant voice... Original was so much better.

This comment was edited, after a couple of days driving errands, assistant voice settled down and much smoother. Just needed those extra cycles as others indicated!

Sounds like a bad impersonation of a tired, hungover synthesized voice. common, uconnect had to cut corners there?? Original was so much better.

Yeah I had the nav calibration thing too. Just drive about a mile and it will go away. Yeah the Sirius album art is pretty sweet. Helps to see whats playing.

I call the new chick in the nav Delilah. She sounds like a stripper

Not sure how I can update now. I updated a few months ago to the 16 update and now when I put truck Vin in uconnect site says invalid. Mine won't do ota since it had uconnect and xm delete from factory(was a Hawaii ordered vehicle).

If you log in to your uconnect account on the web site under your account you can see your services and their expiration dates. ViaMobile has an expiration date and you'll lose your apps on that date. Those of us with 2017's don't even have it listed and they won't add it.

If you log in to your uconnect account on the web site under your account you can see your services and their expiration dates. ViaMobile has an expiration date and you'll lose your apps on that date. Those of us with 2017's don't even have it listed and they won't add it.
Good info, just checked .via mobile says expires in 19. I have my ipod and Sirius as well.. so im covered either way.

Our Uconnect engineers identified that some 2014 owners were experiencing issues downloading the update. At this time they have removed the update from the website for this vehicle population. As soon as we have more information regarding a fix and/or when the update is live again we will let you know!

I guess that's what we get for buying the new version of the updated interior. :naughty: We get to keep our old settings!! :happy107:

Well, im liking the update! The voice has gotten better, much smoother, like the navigation prompts now. System is overall quicker and boots quicker too. I like the tge blue thene, matches the button color on dash. It may just be my older eyes, but tbe back up cam display seems crisper now too.

Quicker you say? I have the update on my '15 Jeep and it seems to have slowed. Startup time of Uconnect on my '14 RAM, still with the 16.x.x version, seems to be faster than the Jeep with 17.x.x.

Quicker you say? I have the update on my '15 Jeep and it seems to have slowed. Startup time of Uconnect on my '14 RAM, still with the 16.x.x version, seems to be faster than the Jeep with 17.x.x.
Not sure why there would be a difference .. i have a ra4an with active uconnect account in my 14 CC. And definetly notice the startup and overall improvement. Not huge, but definetly noticeable to me.

OK so, this may or may not be related to the update. All was well for me until 2 days ago when the radio screen stayed blank after turning on the truck. About 5 minutes into the drive the radio turned on and operated as normal.

Yesterday the same thing happened except now the radio has remained inop. I have switched the in-line fuse in the engine bay, left the battery disconnected for a couple of hours and physically removed the radio and plugged it back in all to no avail.

Some things I noticed while the radio is inop 1. The premium cluster does not display the time 2. The premium cluster didn't show the compass direction but that has come back 3. I have a LockPick connected but it doesn't work with it removed either, oddly the LockPick is passing power on the accessory power to my dashcam but I cannot see its Wi-Fi connection leading me to believe the radio and LockPick are not receiving power.

Any ideas? Is there more than one radio fuse? I know someone had a similar problem but I can't remember if it was for this update as these threads get pretty long.

I appreciate it Andrea, but I don't think I'm the kind of customer you can help. My 8.4 is not factory installed.

One thing you could do is ask the engineers to move the unit of the firmware that flashes the Sierra wireless Aircard updates to the very end of the upgrade process (see photo) This would help all of the folks who are out of warranty to still update their radios fully with the exception of the malfunctioning aircard (which honestly have little utility for the consumer).bc37a6c73480b2cda07146c8135132ac.jpg

When my 2014 R/T updated my phone would not pair with my truck. Yesterday my phone, a Samsung Note 5 received a system update. Now the phone and truck pair okay. All is good now.

Having a strange issue after the update. The channel will suddenly go down one about every 10 minutes. Just one channel down. Nothing else. Thoughts?

I put Vin in uconnect site over and over, kept saying error, then all of a sudden the 17.*** update popped up. I like the update, drag and drop is nice, cam seems clearer, voice on vr is less robotic, and when I plug my phone into the media USB, the radio has setting to auto find the phone music which works great.
