I went to the track last weekend & got a new personal best. My previous pb was a 12.87 @ 104. This time out I ran a 12.66 @ 106. No changes were made as of last weekend but just much better track prep. This was on the R/T 22's & factory Goodyears.
2016 Ram R/T
Performance:
-Jay Greene custom Diablo motor/trans tune
-S&B intake
-14" Magnaflow
-2.5" in/3" out Magnaflow y in place of factory crushed y
-clutch fan delete & 180 t-stat
Suspension:
-Belltech 2/4
-Bilsteins front & rear
-Illicit No Cut brackets
-Rear Hellwig sway bar & adjustable endlinks
-Airlift rear helper bags
-Spohn adjustable panhard bar
Track prep on the truck:
-No passenger seat(53 lbs)
-No center jump seat(28 lbs)
-No front sway bar(28 lbs)
-No spare(61 lbs)
-No tailgate(61 lbs)
I have since then installed an AFE catless y pipe that I bought from Matt at Moes Performance that he tested on his new 2017 truck. The y pipe DEFINITELY PICKED UP A GREAT GAIN. Lol Well worth the $400 to do this. Cheaper & easier to do this than doing longtube headers. Also doing this you dont have to worry about the fitment issues, false knock, added valvetrain noise that comes w/ long tubes. I had to ditch the 14" Magnaflow though. It was just too loud w/ the catless y, deleted resonators & 5" Moes tips. I swapped to an 18" Magnaflow. Much better now.
Next time out I would like to see some 12.5's. The truck has those times & then some in it on drag radials but I dont want to go that route due to being limited by the stock driveshaft on drag radials. The 22's are pretty well at their limits on this truck. Not sure if I can run any faster et's on them. In order to hook them I have to roll into the throttle about 1/2 way & when I feel it bite I go wot. Doing that still nets me 1.86-1.9 60's though.
Also I want to get a throttle body whether its Moes or Fastman, do a 3.5" cutout in the AFE y pipe and build a track intake.
The time slips have 2 different vehicle numbers on them b/c I was running 2 classes at the same event. A test and tune class & a street truck shootout class.
All & all I am loving this truck lol
