If you are unable to get in touch with Ken, he was kind enough to post cut sheet on the hooks he designed. With that information, any competent shop should be able to fab you up a set.

I recently had two pair of brackets made and installed mine last weekend, they fit perfectly. Mine are made of 316SS plate. Not sure what it would cost to mass produce these but I am considering it. I'll sell them on eBay or somewhere as to not violate the rules here.

Disclaimer.....Ken told me if I wanted to make and sell these to go ahead because he was not interested.

JB1 if you are considering producing these I'd like more info, price, lead time etc. I've taken a screen shot of Ken's excellent design picture. My compliments to him for both the design and the generous sharing of info.

Once my garage cools off a bit I may have get to work with the bandsaw and drill press. I'd like to put hooks on my express by next spring.

I am interested if you are going to start selling these as well.

I'll talk to the fab/machine shop next week and get a quote then we'll go from there. I'll have to list them on eBay to sell though.

Why did you opt for stainless JB1? Wonder how that compares in strength and ridgidity.

I selected stainless because it wont rust and doesn't require any paint or powder coat. I was just having a set made for myself so I wanted to make them out of the best material for my own truck.

I apologize for not replying sooner, last couple times i tried to log in i get a bunch of weird popups and my phone starts vibrating with some kinda vibrating google virus or something.

Feel free to use the design for personal use or resale.

I've gotten in touch with a couple machine shops. They cant come anywhere near your price, even with me supplying the materials.

update....I am in the process of revising my first design. I will still have to get a couple sets made of the new ones and try them first before release. However once finished the fab shop can just crank them out to my final design.

My latest version allows them to fit more accurately in that open space of the plastic trim.

What is that trim material you are using on the cut edges?

Its just some edge trim with a grip I got off amazon. The grip is a little tight and the material somewhat stiff so I might try a different style/size. When I decided to make the bracket at a drop height to fit that gap, I also wanted to be able to cut the opening and leave approx. 3/16" to 1/4" edge for the trim to attach too. I tried to cut the opening as straight as I could but wasn't perfect so this edge trim makes up for any imperfections and gives it a finished smooth edge.

I'd be interested in a pair.

Sorry for the delay guys, I'm in Houston and Hurricane Harvey hit here hard, flooded out half the city and slowed everything down. Some shops are just now getting back up rolling, some not. I haven't forgotten, I'll update as soon as I can.

No problem, I didn't look at your profile and realize you were in Houston. I'm glad you made it through. Take your time with this and make sure you, your family and friends are taken care first.

Have you had any luck getting these made?
