I just dumped my Moroso catch can for the first time since the install about 1500 miles ago, had about one ounce of fluid in it. What you have to realize is this isn't just oil that fills this, it's oil & fuel vapors and some water condensation. Depending on the ratio of each and the temps it can appear anywhere from milky to just oil but if you look closer you'll see it's not. The oil viscosity should make no difference in the amount in the can. Luckily my Moroso has a built in 90 degree drain which i just hang a water bottle on and open it up. When done i can easily see what's there.
