I also got a call from my local dealer and I’ll be test driving it tomorrow. I explained to them that I want a 2020 but they are convinced once I drive it, I’ll buy it.

The rear end I can deal with.. the front.. has way to much going on with it between the tiny headlight and all the unnecessary chrome pieces.

View attachment 125447 I don’t like that. I wish they would made the bumper rise up for one solid piece.

This has been my exact gripe with the limited front end! Not only could they have designed a beefier bumper but they could have designed meaner headlights too!! Even the 2018 squinty silverado lights have that DRL strip underneath to help fill that void...

I've heard the "price" comment a couple of times. Is there a substantial increase between the 18's and the 19"s?

To put in perspective this truck stickers at $65k. I think it’s substantially more expensive then the 18 models. I believe you can pick up an 18 limited after discounts for around $45k these days brand new.

You are correct, but I think it's worth pointing out you're also going to pay about $7-8k under MSRP for a 2019. My MSRP was $60k, I'm paying $53k

On ram’s build site I built a 2018 longhorn and a 2019 longhorn. The reason I chose longhorn is because they can be built more comparatively (no 12” screen, no features on the 2019 that aren’t offered on the 2018).

Both 4x4, crew cab, 6’-4” bed, 5.7, anti spin, 3:21, trailer tow pack, two tone paint, 20x9’s, 8.4 radios, and sunroof.

2018- $57,795

2019- $59,115

Now, when you start adding to the 2019’s, like 12” screen, level 1 equipment group with adaptive cruise, lane departure, 19 speaker and all that stuff, the price starts going up REAL quick.

And I plan to upgrade - when there’s a standard cab version available. Yes, I love my R/T THAT much!!

If in fact it is true that the 19's are in fact 4" longer than previous 4th Gen trucks, does this cause any problem to any of you regarding whether the truck will fit in your garage? My 16 Sports 4x4 is really close in my garage and I don't think I've got 4" to play with.
