No problem! I spent alot of time sifting through the threads just to find a simple answer. They are 17$ on Amazon right now. Huge difference, to the point I don't feel the need to add led pods, eventually I will but these made a significant difference.

I'm trying to convert a few things to leds, did they have bulb replacement available for the license plate bulbs?

Why did you remove them? Get them hung up on something?
Yeah thy fill with mud and rocks and don’t close all the way..... I haven’t smashed them in rocks yet because I’ve been very careful. I may throw a set of cheap steps on till I sell mine and get rock sliders. I won’t cry if I smash $200 cheap side steps haha

Makes sense, mine took a few heavy guys to get them to behave properly and haven’t had an issue since.

I put 240lbs of sand back into my bed two days ago in prep for the stupid "bomb cyclone" or whatever they call it hitting us here in MN. Freak snowstorm after days of nice, sunny, dry weather? YUP, that's MN for ya!

Damn, that's crazy man. Stay safe out there!!!
Quick question though. I have a 4X4 rcsb and I never have anything in the bed of my truck, except for snow that piles up in it, which doesn't last long, especially when driving. It mostly blows out. Why are you using 240lbs. of sand in the back of your 4X4?

I use the sand in the bed for two reasons; 1) So I don't need to be in 4x4 all winter, and 2) because I don't have winter tires and just use the stock ones, which aren't great in snow. I also have a bed cover on and park in my garage, so snow doesn't really fill up to weigh me down.

They are the OE factory housings. Sport and Rebel models have them.

Also works great for traction in worse scene scenarios. I use pea gravel personal preference but same principle.

This morning, I installed a set of smoked LED license plate lights I ordered through eBay. Here’s the link if anyone is interested.

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/183442025807

It wasn’t a bad job, it took about 15-20 minutes. The metal retaining clips weren’t too difficult to get out but they fought me the entire time trying to get them back in. You just have to be patient and hold the lights tightly while reinstalling the clips.

These lights are set up like the OLED Recon taillights; the wire from the light plugs into the light socket where the OEM bulb goes and then the socket plugs right into the housing like the OEM does. I zip tied the modules up out of the way around the license plate light wiring harness.

This is the retainer clip. Look up under your rear bumper and you’ll see the gray metal edge of the clip that holds the light assembly in. I used a plastic pry tool to pull them out and they popped right out with a little prying.

(I tested each side before I reinstalled the clips) They work great and I really like the way they look.

Now I need to upgrade my reverse light bulbs so I can actually see behind me at night when backing up. Any suggestions?

My wife thanks you for showing me how to spend more money.

These are such an awesome idea and Def on my affordable things I can tinker with when the weather get nicer [emoji106]. Great find !!!!!!

As for the reverse lights the amazon specials work great. No codes.

Also, do the License plate lights mess up the camera at night ?

Get rock sliders and use them as steps. you won't have to worry about the rocker panels or the steps being damaged and the sound they make when you're crushing rocks sliding down on them is freaking cool :)

That’s a good question, I’ll take a look tonight after it gets dark and let you know.

Punched it
Bathed it
Admired it in the usual spot
Now I have to fuel it
All in advance of a weekend getaway to San Diego with my passenger seat mod

I noticed a pattern..... do you happen to punch it whilst driving? Also, I hate you for living in a climate where palm trees flourish and grass is green this time of year [emoji12]
