Washed the truck.
Finally had time to finish polishing this thing. Only had the bed sides, tailgate and rear bumper left.
Once I finished polishing it, finished it off with Adams Polishes ceramic spray coating.

Didn’t snap any pics of it though.

It’s awesome! Actual application is super easy. It already rained today and the beading on it is CRAZY!! Luckily I had already driven for the day and the truck was parked for the rain. So it will still be clean in the am!

Prep is key though for durability.

Started with a strip wash. Then clayed. Then iron remover soak. Then a rinse with the power washer. Quick dry. Then it was off to polishing. For me it was a 2 step polish for majority of the truck. A couple spots required a heavy compound first. Next step was coating prep wipe down. Finally was the ceramic spray coating application.

I did the actual application slightly different. I had used the spray coating in the house on my counter tops and backsplash a few months ago. The little sprayer that comes with the coating dried and cured so when I went to use it, I couldn’t. Luckily I had the small gray suede 1”x1”x2” long applicator. So I would unscrew the top cover the top with the applicator, tip it over a few times, and put the cap back on. Worked in small sections applying in a cross hatch pattern. Let that rainbow over and the wipe it down with a microfiber towel.
Super easy.

Side note: I would have done the full paint coating but that requires 24-48 hours to cure. I use my truck everyday and couldn’t go that long without it. ALL of the prep work is exactly the same, application is the same... it just came down to cure time. 4 hours compared to 1-2 days. Durability on the spray coating is 6-8 months with proper maintenance. Doing it this way I can handle it twice a year.

Finally dumped the chrome grill inserts. Thanks to MaxSteel 2013 he had a set of honeycomb grill inserts. Not only did he hook me up with the sale. He installed them for me as well. Appreciate you MaxSteel 2013. I like the honeycomb inserts.

Good bye Chrome

I like those inserts better than the "bars". I've been looking for those inserts also.

Finally had time to redo my window the daughter scratched, tint was darker from a better supplier so I’ll have to do the other side too. Excellent pre-cut and actually formed so no heat shrink, not easily creased when transferring and positioning like the cheap stuff.

Installed something that is a guaranteed 10% aerodynamic improver, a steel diamond plate license plate frame haha. I was a left over from the Jeep.

Took GiGi(camper) on her maiden voyage after the 2" lift. 14.6mpg going into town for gas (25 mph tailwind) and 10.4mpg return (25 mph head wind)

Took off the vent visors to put some gloss vinyl on the B-pillars that everyone seems to take off, always been a weird one haha. The vinyl I used is cheap crap. It is thin and scratched like crazy from the silicon squeegee. Took the vinyl off so next will be painting. Now I just have to get the nerve to do it myself or say heck with it and pay for it.

Thanks for all that info! I’ll take that advice, I’ll make sure to rinse out the sprayer part once I’m done to keep it from clogging up hopefully. But yea the 4 hour cure time is the biggest reason I didn’t go with the other stuff also. Daily driver so it doesn’t get that much down time lol. Glad ya like it the stuff tho!

Look me up in a couple of weeks once I complete my move to Houston. Don't think I'll be putting the factory grill back in. I'll swap with you.
