Hello,Back to the OP's original question, when can we expect Andriod Auto full-screen support?
It is a reasonable question that deserves a responsible and direct answer.
@RamCares I'm another user who joined the forum just to add to the discussion regarding AA going full-screen. I expected to have a beautiful, full-screen AA interface after receiving the new CoolWalk update. My AA is still showing half screen, which is even worse since they utilize a card-based interface. I cannot fix it by changing the screen resolution in my AA developer options.
Meanwhile, my wife connects her apple Carplay, which fills up the entire 12" display in my RAM. Can we have an update on this matter? I've seen a lot of complaints around different forums and reddit while looking to see a resolution to this matter.
I think there will be many more like-minded people looking to have this resolved as well. Coolwalk is still being activated in waves to people, many have downloaded the update but are waiting for Google to hit their "on switch".
Please provide an update.

Stop comparing apples and oranges/androids. It is what it is until it isn't.@RamCares I'm another user who joined the forum just to add to the discussion regarding AA going full-screen. We definitely need an update on the 12" to make the new update Fullscreen! If Carplay can go Fullscreen, Android Auto should be able to as well.Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us directly. We appreciate your feedback on this and will bring this up with our technical team. At this time there are no changes on layouts with our updates. Should there be any changes, we will be sure to make a post on here.

I think what we want is a guarantee that they will be working on a full screen solution. Shouldn't be hard to make that happen.im sure there is not one person that has a 12" screen that don't want full screen capability.
I don't. But maybe I'm not using it right. I hate using AA on my 12" uConnect 5 screen because when it's running, I can't scroll screens to get at my other uConnect screens. So I've only used it a tiny amount, long enough to see it limits the system, and I turned it off.I think what we want is a guarantee that they will be working on a full screen solution. That is the AA 8.8(?) update 'Coolwalk' that was supposed to roll out last summer. This very well may NOT be the units software itself but instead an update from Android Auto.
I have the 8.4 and AA just released a new update that now permits the unit to show multi-apps at one time OR full map (or any other app) . I just updated my phone app today and discovered the new layout. I had 3 different apps showing at the same time or full screen of the main app at the push of an onscreen icon.

You want a guarantee that they'll add a feature you never paid for, nor did they ever agree to provide, at some point in the future?
Your truck came a certain way when you bought it. Short of warranty replacements, there are no guarantees about anything.

Basically a couple of 'cards' on the side for some 'most used' apps.
Just makes the map smaller IMO and certainly doesn't go 'full screen' on the 12"

Just tried this no luck at getting full screen on the 12 inch screensI don't have one to play with but have any of you tried enabling the developer options in AA and and forcing the resolution settings? You'll need to open AA on your phone and scroll all the way to the bottom of the AA menu to version. Tap the version number 10 times and you should receive a message that developer options have been enabled. Then go back to the top of your screen and open developer options from the 3 dot menu. Find the setting attached and give it a try. It's important that you don't try this with the phone connected to the truck.
Worth a shot. At least you know the setting is set to allow it. I agree with all of you that this is quite a large oversight and a terrible integration/waste of a display. Does it always duplicate the media player?Just tried this no luck at getting full screen on the 12 inch screens
