Sweet truck man. Are you planning on the stage 1 or stage 2 kit then?? I plan on getting the bumper and fender flares from kore and figuring out something for the liner, not sure what to use but ill figure out something haha. isnt the point of the new kit so that your wheels can travel into your wheel well more? so then getting really wide tires and such would kind of ruin the point of getting the fenders and suspension? im pretty sure kore suggests 17x8 or 17x9 wheels

Haha thanks! Yeah the thread has gotten a bit cluttered as I'm sure you could tell.

Wasn't too bad lol, had an easy time browsing through the pictures!

I'm loving that list, really can't wait to see the kore bumper on the truck, I love the way it looks.

Thanks! I've seen another ram up here with a similar prerunner style bumper and it looks amazing.

Thank you! I plan for stage 1 if kore gets something worked out for the Cvs. Stage 2 isn't practical for me as I wont be jumping over sand dunes or extreme off roading lol. I'd like to eventually get the fenders but like you said the inner lining is an issue so I'm going to wait till a solution is found. That's the only complaint I've found about the kore kit.

The kit increases ground clearance, and suspension travel. Stage 2 increases the front track width also, moving the wheels out farther calling for the wider fenders, but they'd also help for when your truck soaks up a hard landing since they're taller. they call for 17x8 with 4.5 inches of back spacing, but 17x9 like i plan is fine too. others use this size as well. One guy even put the stock 20s on and they cleared the Uca even though its much beefier lol.

The CVs should be coming out soon, i called and asked and they actually asked if i could possibly be a test truck (kinda asked) lol long story short is i live 6000 miles away so thats a no go!

Hey just realized you live in calgary, we should get our ram runners together some time when we get em!

anyways, heres another option for you to consider if you want! Kore stage 1 kit is sweet i have to agree, but the route im taking is Icon front coil over replacement (up to 3" lift) with kore CVs when they come out, and a new upper control arm

for the rear i have on order some icon rear coils (1.5 inches of lift) and icon rear piggy back reservoir shocks (another 1.5 inches) im thinking this will give me a pretty sweet ride, with same clearance as the kore kit. Its a little more expensive but you get new coilovers and rear coils vs just putting in a shock. i think once im done it will be $3200 in parts? 800 for the rear stuff, 1000 for the front coilovers, 800 for CVs and 600 for upper arm

That's good news to hear then lol! I didn't even see you were in Edmonton cause I'm on my phone but that sounds like a good idea! Plenty of places to test them out. I'll most likely be jealous of your fenders though hahah. Are you going to paint them yourself or get a shop to do it? That's another thing holding me back is the cost of painting them, not sure how much it would cost.

I've actually been looking at the icon kits, they seem pretty sweet and getting coils too would be nice. If only kore had some Cvs then it would be easy to piece together a custom kit all in one go instead of waiting.

haha yeah for sure, i need to find some places to go, im not really sure what places to try them out though, is there anything fun going on in red deer or some where in there??

Ive painted a bunch of things on my truck myself and they just havent come out perfect the clear coat and shine is hard to get right, so im going to get a shop to do them for sure since their so big and noticeable. but sadly this wont be done till i get my tax return :(

are you going to get the bed sides?? i cant decide on em simply because those would be expensive to put in... theres 120 some odd spot welds to drill out... and shipping is 600!!

painting and welding of the bumper im hoping wont cost more then 600 bucks but... shop rates in this province are stupid!

Ill let ya know how i like the icon rear kit, i should have it in this weekend actually

Not too sure about red deer, I know there are mopar meets there and in Edmonton, but we do most of our offloading out in the mountains, McLean creek area and such.

I'd get the bedsides yeah if i got fenders, install will be pretty fun with all those spot welds lol! Is that shipping quote up into Canada? I've finally learned about the glory of shipping to sweetgrass Montana at the border, going across and picking it up then bringing it back. Only about a 6 hour round trip and a lot cheaper than shipping into Canada.

Yeah our shop rates are crazy, luckily there is a custom 4x4 shop here who does insane work and only charges $105 an hour. Last time I checked lol. Does the bumper come in raw material?
I read it takes the average guy with a welder 4 hours to install.

Let me know how you like the icon stuff, it seems like a better idea than just shocks.

haha that is also what i was considering doing, ordering it to montana and going to pick it up, as it would cost 1550 to ship it here, and 487 or something to ship it there lol! i thought the bumper came painted? but i could be wrong, i just always assumed it came black haha.

ill let ya know how it all works out

Yeah shipping to the border is and picking it up is a Bette alternative to me lol, especially since we get gouged by customs when shipping across the border.

That's what I assumed too lol, I'd just leave it black and install it. I was checking out icons sale section and they've got some good deals I'm considering lol!

Sounds good to me! You must be implying that you're paying as well right lol ;) yeah the deals are pretty sweet, its tempting me lol, only thing holding me back is no Cvs yet from Kore.

Thanks, I agree I love how it looks now but I'm afraid to really use it as a tuck as it sits lol. I don't want to wreck the nice wheels or painted bumper on it lol.

With my intended plans it will still look nice but be able to take a beating.

I read Kore and 9" wide rims and I'm all here.....lol

When we doing Kore? I'm heavily considering that front bumper as well. I'm really digging it.

As for the 9" wide wheels, if you're planning on running flares make sure you get a negative offset as in -12.
Otherwise move to a 10" wide rim and start with the -12 and maybe look at -24.

TXKID has -44 :roflbow:

But it's all in how you want your stance. 9" wide was NOT wide enough for me.
I'm now at 20x10 with -24 offset and could not be more happier.
I do have flares going on shortly but the wheels will stick poke out. Exactly what I want.

In my opinion tho.....stay stock :badidea:

LOL

Lol! Well the plan is this February, just waiting on my bonus and tax return and then the shopping begins!

I love the look of the bumper, pretty much seals the deal for me lol. Wheels however, I can't make up my mind with all these offsets and rim widths.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone running a -44 offset before lol! I want to make the right decision the first time. If I decide to not run the Kore fenders I'd like the wheels poking out past the stock fenders, not a huge amount but a nice stance. If I did go with the fenders, I'd like the wheels poking out a tiny bit. The problem is finding a wheel I like with the right offset.
I've never had aftermarket wheels before so I'm still learning all the offsets and stuff like that lol. How far out would a 17x8.5 rim with 0 offset stick out? If any?

As for stock, I have this compulsion lol can't leave anything stock hahah :insane:

Sweet....possibly the same time as me

As for the wheels, determine first what you'll be doing. The kore fenders, flares or nada.
That will determine what offset to run.
17x8.5 with 0 offset will stick out, but honestly I would not run it if you want it poking out. Yes it does poke out, but not enough to make you smile. Especially since you're going after that baja look.

But first determine what I said above. Don't buy the wheels till you figure this out otherwise you may have to sell wheels when you decide to go wide on those fenders or even add flares

That's where I run into a problem because if I did go kore fenders it would be later down the road when I could afford to paint them too. Gives me something to think about lol

Well 17x8.5 with 0 offset would probably stick out likr an inch? Not very much at all lol. With the kore fendere just make sure you don't get them to far out then the wheels couldnt travel into. The wheel wrll like their designed

I was playing with an offset calculator and I think the 17x8.5 0 offset came out to like an inch if that past the fenders lol. 18x9 -12 offset stuck out a bit more.

I forgot that with the Kore fenders, the stage 2 kit increases front track width allowing them to use a 0 offset wheel getting everything to line up nicely. This truck is with 20x10 wheels, unsure of offset. Also with a 6 inch lift though. What are you planning on doing for wheels/fenders?
