Finally finished up the drop yesterday.

It turned out to be a 4front/ 5.5inch rear drop actually.. settled a bit in the rear.

I like the "rake" look. Truck needs to look like a hot rod :happy107:

Powdercoated the factory wheels gloss black and mounted
up a new set of Nitto 420S 285/50's

Front consists of Spindles and stock shocks and springs... cut of course

Wrapping it up

Even with McGaughy's track bar re-locator one of of the Spohn adjustable
bars is a necessity. Truck still needed a bit of a shift and the bar dialed it in
nicely. Will be getting their full set of rear control arms next week.

Finished product

With the new setup and tires front = 31 3/4in from ground to fender and rear 33 3/4in

BADASS!! I would like to see the back come down 1 more inch, but that looks MEAN as it sits. Very nice.

Appreciate it much guys !

I agree MOE,
I have thought about maybe dropping the rear just a touch more... BUT... with hauling
people around and the occasional usage of the bed (it is still a truck right? :) ) I will
probably leave well enough alone for now. It has settled just a bit... with
the rear coils cut its about a 5.5 rear drop.

Looks great!

Can you get a picture showing how the wheel/tire sits looking down the side of the truck.
(IE, does it sit flush, stick out...?)

Pic not necessary

It sits flush

With the upward travel (arc) of the suspension it tucks inward and sits the same as
it did with out having been touched. This is achieved using drop springs (or cut factory)
in conjunction with the spindles. If you do not use drop springs , then yes.. the
spindles can push the wheels out a touch.

Yessir. Everything clears great.

Not gonna drop the back anymore right now. With hauling people around and
the occasional usage ..."as a truck" it's going to sit as it does for now.

I really like the rake. I personally do not like these trucks sitting level.

Thats a good point. A good person to ask would probably be Tyler B. I believe he has
been one of a very few that have pushed the envelope of a drop in the rear

Awe shucks, you mean I HAVE to go low? :pepper:

I want to bag the rear if I do this. Mini-notch n such.

Yep... Go Low or Go Home.. :D

Bags in the rear will most likely be in my future. Some kind of notch
sure would be the preferred method to gain some extra travel back there.

I don't recall the company, somewhere in Texas that was making a under-bed notch / bag mount setup for the Gen IVs. I think you had to modify the frame for the links to have enough upward travel too. It was a really clean looking setup.
