Well checked both ends and did adjustments. Still have the high rpm shift into 3rd. So any other thing to do before just getting another trans?- biker50610

long story short is I have a 01 1500 4x4, it had a 98 trans put in it. I swapped the sensors and the wiring(all new) inside the trans over to be compatible with the 01. What the trans is doing now. 1-2 shifts are fine. The 2-3 shift is a high rpm shift, when it does shift it is a smooth...- biker50610

Ok long story very short. 01 1500 4x4, had a trans from a 98 4x4 put in. Well it runs but it want shift right b/c wrong trans with wiring harness an computer. So if I swap the harness an computer ( an other stuff injectors o2 etc) in theory every thing should work right with the trans. Am I...- biker50610

Trans problems
The plug for the sensors are not the same on the early vs late. Did a new filter an fluid when put the sensors in. If it is a pcm thing then will have to change over pcm, wiring harness, injectors and the o2 sensors.- biker50610

The cables are fine on it. Talked to a few places one said it was the torque converter and another said it was seals on the pump.- biker50610

Got a 01 1500 with 5.9 in it. Motor blew so had a 98 motor and trans swapped in. Nothing was wrong with the 98 trans before the swap. Temp gauge goes to red before start up.
2001 1500 5.9l Got a cel for temp over range an check gauge light. The temp gauge will go to the max in red with the key in the on position an stays there even when started up. Engine wiring harness
he choped the 01 harness an put the 99 in some places. he had messed up the thermo sensor an had the 99 pcm in there. once i fixed the thermo sensor an put the 01 pcm in i got rid of the "no bus" an cel for the thermo. now its cel p0031 an p0037 an the wires are hacked down at the o2 sensors...- biker50610

I have a 01 1500 4x4, bought a 99 1500 4x4 parts truck. Had a guy swap motor in mine. The retard hacked both engine harnesses for what i have no clue. An hacked the o2 sensor plugs.
