@U&A did you watch them reservice it after flushing? If so, what method/tool(s) did they use?

It didt get flushed. That was what my post was about. Sorry if i made it confusing.

They basically looked at it, licked their thumb and stuck it up in the wind and made a super professional judgment call.

As someone already said, being im months into this new waterpump and fluid..... i would see something by now if it was wrong.

I bought my 2016 1500 Bighorn Hemi certified used with 29,000 miles. Dealer serviced the entire time prior to sale. It was previously a dealer loaner. When I went to top off the reservoir, I noticed my coolant was pink, not purple. When I questioned the dealer, they said “Oh yeah, sometimes they filled it with pink stuff from the factory and not the purple. It’s OK.” Being disturbed by this, and concerned about the confusion, I simply opted to take it to my local trustworthy mechanic and had them do a complete flush and refill with the correct coolant. What if I Had followed my users manual and topped it off with OAT instead of the HOAT it came with? I would’ve screwed up my motor, and it would’ve been my fault, right? Disturbing. At least now I have peace of mind of knowing for a fact that my cooling system has been completely flushed and refilled with the correct stuff.

If you put oat in a system designed for hoat, you will have issues with compatibility, I believe they said corrosion. I do believe you can use HOAT in a system designed for oat though. I wonder if you should look into what Syn used. But I guess you already are moving forward with a flush and oat put back?

Yup. Done and done. Had it thoroughly flushed and refilled with purple OAT today. You can use either one safely in my model year, but you cannot mix them! That’s why I am so bothered that they would send it from the factory with HOAT, with an owner’s manual that says to use OAT. Bad Chrysler! Bad!!!

In the end ....it’s all pink on the inside......

Yes but they most always Smell so Different!
Some will even make you squint and grimace and turn away and never open it again!

I myself had a decent chat with the MotorCity Mechanic from You Tube.
He convinced me the Mopar Purple OAT coolant was a very good choice for my 6.7L CTD so I am sticking with it and Adding 8oz of RMI-25 every 15K miles...

I asked this question to a local Mopar group on Facebook and got a reply from a tech that works at a dealership.

I asked why my coolant was pink/orange when it's supposed to be the purple OAT and his response was:

"The color varies between which supplier they bought it from, The Fiat 10 year was red, Mopar varies between purple and a cranberry pink/orange color. I can't say that I've seen that much of a change in the 10 year purple at 5 years, but it is possible."

He also posted some pics of Star cases about the color which are kind of hard to read but here they are.

I also asked him outright if he thinks it's HOAT and his response was:

"No sir. But, if you don't feel comfortable leaving it in there, you could at least drain and fill the system with the correct OAT coolant."698e4c3d6e02f0cdae570be3ea30e063.jpg60358853b63f0f5a917862bbf3d4655e.jpg

Fellas: I try very hard not to endorse or recommend any one product, but this product is one that I feel is worth talking more about!

For those who have recently purchased a New Ram (like myself) or recently (a 6.4L or 5.7L with less then 50K miles) I honestly & humbly feel This is the time to research & add 8oz of RMI-25.
This is the ideal time too add this product (when your cooling system is new & spotless.)

Of coarse you can add 8oz at any time but this in my eyes is the ideal time.
Other wise cooling systems with a lot more miles? Me personally: I would add 8oz & then drain & flush the system in 3 months.
Then refill with fresh coolant & add 8oz.

Now: if you have been the only owner & the cooling system has over 60K-100K miles & has been well maintained? Chances are the system is still spotless & in perfect working order. I personally see No reason to add & flush. (After a period of time)
Add 8oz & feel that warm fuzzy feeling!

RMI-25: 8oz every 15-20K miles. 8oz treats a 5Gal cooling system.

Here is a bit of info——->Reading = Knowledge
I truly believe these gents produce an amazing product & know their product inside & out and cooling systems.

http://www.rmi25.com/tech-specs

I personally have never really been a big fan boy of any additive. But I honestly feel this product is legit and does as advertised. Take it for what that’s worth!

I feel very confident RMI-25 & the Mopar OAT coolant will totally help eliminate any pitting/cavitation issues within my 6.7L CTD. As well as fight any possible EGR issues that might occur. At least until total deletion is done.

I have never had an issue with the HOAT and only vehicle that has the OAT has been fine too.

That’s a horrible response from someone who is supposed to be a tech. A simple drain and refill would not do the job. You would need to completely flush your system to rid it of any traces of HOAT before replacing it with OAT. And by no means should the factory be sending out the Fiat version of OAT in a Dodge vehicle. The whole purpose behind having different colors was to avoid confusion, not create more of it.

It was a poor attempt at sarcastic humor... it was late and Gentleman Jack made me do it.
