I knew my truck had this recall but was waiting on fix to be available. I just checked the Mopar site, and it seems parts are now available. I'll be scheduling the repair soon.

Finally got around to putting on the boards I picked up last week. They seem pretty solid.

I went with Tyger Risers in stainless even though I've considered de-chroming my truck a bit mainly because I will likely never ditch the chrome bumpers and they work well together.

What recall are you all referring to?

I've only had my 2017 Outdoorsman for a month. Drove it across a frozen lake to take the family ice fishing. Got some use out of the skid plates on some of the deeper snowdrifts.

Dammmmm you take that Outdoorsman stuff real serious, don't you. I sunk a dirtbike riding on "pretty thick" ice 40 yrs ago. I'm still cold. :)

Not 1st, 2nd or 3rd? No Trophy!

I actually had it made. Just measured the size of the window and a buddy of mine his girlfriend has a decal cutter/printer/ whatever it’s called and gave her a pic I found on the internet, she did the rest. It actually doesn’t affect my view that bad. You can see in the gaps of the stripes and stars pretty good. A lil to get use to but visibility is still decent. It’s a power slider to if I need to see real bad I can just push the button quick.
That's killer bro. They did a great job with it.

When I bought it my wife was all over me getting the Outdoorsman model because "you are going to need the skid plates, tow hooks and stronger tire sidewalls when you take it off road...and I know you are going to take it offroad"! She knows me too well, and she was with me the first time I got to play with it in the deep snow. That is half the fun of owning a 4X4!!!

The ice on the lake was around 3 feet thick, so not too big of risk. I have been in the water on a lake that was just freezing over, and it took a couple of hours in dry clothes with the heat cranked in my buddy's Ram Sport before I could stop violently shaking. Not an experience I would like to repeat!

Checked the throttle body cleanliness after 8800 miles. Still looks brand new! 20180222_172256.jpg
That's the back of the plate btw.

Took the Ram up the hill a bit to find some snow. I was pleased with how t did and how the 4WD Auto did. Stock tires weren’t bad, but they are still new.

Yup. Got all those features on my Tradesman. Had dealer swap stock tires to Firestone Destination 2 Mud Terrain 10 ply also or no deal. Amazing what they will agree to on the last day of the month. Love the snow but I stay off the lakes cause I still remember that feeling of sinking in 8 ft of ice water. Have fun with the new ride!

Looks good.

Mine would have been parked there until the snow melted. Lol
