1996 dodge ram steering box replacement...need some help

Hey guys! Well I got my redhead steering box, and while removing the old one I have some questions....first off, how many washers are supposed to be between the pitman arm and the nut that holds it to the box? I could spin that nut off by hand on the old one, and it had a large flat washer, smaller flat washer, and a broken lock washer on it, here's the picture





Also, the steering shaft I took out looks nothing like the new one, any ideas?

Well, I couldn't find a replacement for that broken lock nut, so I used the smaller washer and nut. The shaft fit and works, I suppose it's just a redesign with a rag joint.

First impressions of the box: outstanding. Truck feels tight, really tightened up the steering, I love it.

Just a guess, but the new one with the rag joint is probably for a tilt wheel column.

Found the lock washer part number, the new part number is s0103336 , if anyone ever needs one. Also,since the pitman arm was so loose it slid off the old box, I ordered a new arm, in case the splines on this one are worn.
