Getting ready to start a small audio build. Have never done an audio build in a pick up, so that's why I'm asking. Going to go with a Fox Box.
    Can't decide if I should go with 1) 12" sub or 2) 10" subs?
Amp for sub will be between 500-750 Rms.
Either going with a JL 750/1 or Apline 5 channel which will be 500 RMS to the sub channel.
Listen to all types of music, mostly rap but will jam to some hard rock as well.

2 10 would be much better than a 12". The 10s will move more air.

For me I'd go 2 10's they got every beat not every 2nd like a 12 does and you can get some amazing sound out of them so they are a better daily used sub than a 12

Not sure what the second beat talk is as that just isn't accurate but what is true in the realm of subs and low power is cone area will be king. So you have a couple of choices. 2 10s will sound great depending on the subs but take up more room. One 12 can sound equally good again depending on the sub. Sticking with a foxbox I think you would be happier with 10s with low power and added cone area.

hes saying the smaller 10s need less displacement therefore cycle faster which essentially produces more tones than a single 12. two 10s will always be cleaner, punchier, and still produce plenty of down low. id always go two 10s over a 12

    Now that makes sense.
Did a lot of research yesterday and today and 99% sure I'm going with 2) 10's
Leaning towards the Sundown Audio SD3's
