2004 Dodge Ram SLT 5.7 whining noise in rear of car

Junk the whole truck because of a rear end noise? If the bearings are messed up because it was low on fluid replace them, You can get a complete rebuild kit for about $125. Bring it to a dealer or Repair shop of your choice, You should be in it for no more then $500. If the LSD is shot itll be a bit more, Your gears are probably fine. Tear it apart and have a look before junking the truck unless is is a rusted pile of junk.

sorry i was pissed when i found this out..i didnt junk the truck.
i ended up hiring a reputable differential axle repair shop to repair it...cost was about 600$...i still have same vehicle and the repair has held up.
