Im not gonna do those 1.5 daystars i have not read or heard anything positive about them. Matt, looks like you were accurate on everything you have said. I just can't get over how difficult it is to inexpensively level the 06-08 2wd trucks! I am gonna put this mod on the back burner for a little while.

Honestly dude I would order the 3in spindles and 2nd gen drop shackles from PriceBusterChris. You can get your level for less than $400 and honestly its easier than spacers anyway. You cant lift anything for that cheap really. Its a good deal. And no ride difference!

I hear ya but I just got done looking at your install thread! I would be scared to tackle this on my own now lol. Honestly tho I would prob have to have somebody do the install so it would be quite a bit more than 400. I want to get Exhaust and some other smaller stuff done before I move on to this mod.

I have the Daystar 2.5" spacers, and I gotta say, I prefer the new ride over stock. It's a very very very very very minor difference, enough to be noticed though. For mine, whenever I hit even the slightest bump it would buck and sway and I would wait for what seemed like eternity to have the front end settle down. After install, small bump, slight jostle, and back to smooth riding. I would rather have a slight jolt than a front end that felt like the old ghetto hydraulics. However, it's all personal preference. Got a friend that has his leveled?

This may be a bit off topic... I've got the rough country 6 inch lift on my 2wd. I'm putting the daystar 2.5 coil spacer on top of that. With putting that much lift on will it cause my front tires to pinch in due to the adjusted angle of the tierods? If so, before I take it to the alignment shop, all ill have to do to correct this is just loosen and turn my inner rods so that they straighten the tires back out right?

Went to discount tire this weekend asking about 275 65r20's the guy told me my stock 275 60r20's are already rubbing and that I would be able to fit 65r20's on there. Anyone else have this issue? I really want to use 65r20's on my stock rim, figured it would be simple.

best way to determine which kit you need to be level is park your truck on a level surface...get a measuring tape and measure from the center of the hub to the bottom of the fender lip on the front and back. From what I can tell, you should be able to use the the 2wd coil spacers made for a 2006, and you will want to go 2.5".

wow this is the first time I have ever seen anybody actually explain the proper way to measure truck height. Hat is off to you brother thank you for this post it should be a sticky on every truck forum! :peace:

I have 275/65/20 on my ram with 1.5 daystar leveling kit and the barely rub at full lock but they look great I have the cooper ATP A/T Tires I paid 1200
