2011 ram 5.7 200k miles. Some may know from my old thread my lifters just failed and destroyed a cam lobe after only 15k miles on new ENGINETECH parts. They contacted me again today and 100% refuse to back their parts because it has been over a year..... even tho i put little miles on the parts.

So now I have decided to fix this engine rather then get a used one because It will just do the same thing and eat a cam lobe. My question is what cam/lifters should I use? I do not want to use the same brand. I have seen some say use hellcat lifters?. I see some places selling those in a kit with cam/mds delete for $1400 I already have mds tuned off. I am hesitant to not go stock because i love how smooth my truck idles the thing was perfect before this. But i dont want another failure and I concerned it may not run this smooth with a diff cam/lifters?

Any suggestions about what setup to go with much appreciated.

I'd like to know the answer to this myself as my engine has 220,000km (138000miles) and i've been thinking about rebuilding my engine in the near future with a cam and lifter upgrade.

If you want to go OEM. Then get the hellcat lifters. You shouldn't need the kit with tuner because you already have mds turned off. So just need lifters.

My 2500 does not have MDS but on the motor I rebuilt that I have in it now I installed an MDS 6.4 cam with non MDS lifters. No issues with an MDS cam.

Ran into a deal on a used engine for $1000 out of a badly wrecked truck has 110k on it decided to just throw that in for now runs great test drove it to. I am keeping my old engine to rebuild if ever needed.
