Going to order a new radio. I decided I didn't want to keep the stock deck. Here's all the parts i'm going to order. Hopefully it helps me retain my steering wheel controls

Pioneer AVH-X5600BHS
Metra 95-6518B - Dash Kit
Axxess XSVI-6523-NAV - Wiring Harness
Axxess ASWC-1 - Steering wheel Controls
Metra 40-EU55 - antenna adaptor

Add XM and back up camera

SiriusXM SXV200V1 (SXV200 v1)
Belva BARCAM221

Also ordered the pioneer iphone 5 cable CD-IV203 and a dvd bypass relay. Everything will be here by friday so I will have the install done this weekend.

Everything else came in today for my radio install. All parts and #'s are listed above.

Got all my wires soldered and heat shrunk. The XSVI had a 12 pin plug that said it would connect to the Steering wheel controller so I didnt have to connect any extra wires. I hope it works I will know for sure tomorrow.

Just a heads up with those extra modules you will have to tuck that wiring harness pretty far back to make the HU fit. Took me a little bit to snake everything the way I wanted it.

Thanks, I figured but I have to program the steering wheel controls first, it doesn't seen to difficult. Atleast I hope not

What made you choose the that particular head unit?
I dont have steering wheel controls and my back up camera is located in my rear view mirror.
Really just looking for butter sound quality and nicer looking unit.
Considering in dash GPS as well.

I've had pioneer decks in all my trucks so this is the latest model. I like the new app feature that works with all lightning apple devices so I can plug in my ipad on road trips and watch the movies off of it. I will have the deck installed tonight hopefully and then tomorrow I will run all the amp wires as i'm still waiting on my fox box. if you don't have steering wheel controls then I highly suggest this unit for you. You won't be disappointed.

That's what I heard. The axx kit says it auto detects the truck and the radio. As long as my phone buttons still work i'll be happy. I can't decide where to put my mic. I was thinking on top of the rear view mirror since thats where the factory ones are.

From what I read yes it does. It's called mirror link. It allows our phone and apps to be on the radio

Yes it is. I was able to add Sirius and use the stock antenna, ran my blue tooth and all my amp wires. Plus mounted my bass know. Tomorrow I will run my power wire for the amp. Box will be here next week

Also all my steering wheel controls work minus the phone button but that's ok I rarely ever ever used it. This radio is sweet. Just waiting on my iphone lightning to VGA cable to come in so I can watch movies off my phone.
