I'm sure this topic has been covered time and time again, but what I want to do is level a 2014 Ram Sport Crew and keep stock 20" tires, what lift do I need? Thanks in advance, and if anyone has pics of this same setup, can you post them?

4x4 or not? If it's a 4x4, you have so many options such as spindle lift for 3", Bilstein for up to 2.8", Rancho which advertises 2.25", MaxTrac (Which is what I went with) for "balljoint friendly" 2.5", or any other spacer setup. There are a few people who have experienced balljoint issues with spacers and the Bilsteins, but it's intermittent and seems to have no method to the madness. Only way to tell if you would have it is trial and error unfortunately or to go ahead and proactively buy the Mevotech, Zone, or 09-12 upper control arms.

4x2? Spindle or some companies make a coil lift.

2014 Ram sport, stock 20" tires and wheels, what amount would I need to go to get a true level?

1.75-2". I did a 2.5 and my front sits just a tad higher than the rear

But the truck had 400 lbs in the back in that pic

This may be dumb, but lift spindles for a 4x4? Where can I find those?

They usually come as a kit as you will need a front diff drop down bracket to keep the CV axles angled correctly.
Zone has some for the 4WD (Not sure why MaxTrac doesn't) but the difference between the 4" kit and the 6" is only like $100 and because it requires all of the extra stuff, it's a much more pricey option than the others.

Hi everyone ..my first post .

I have a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 Big horn Quad Cab . I want to do a small 2" lift on the front just to level my truck out . But, I read somewhere that it could make my Ball-Joints come loose or even pop out . I'm not a mechanic but that scares me . Can someone with mechanical training tell me the best , safest way to lift my truck . I was looking at 2" spacers for the springs on the front end . I have the 20" wheels and was not going to change the tires or anything . I am basically chroming everything I can and with the Running Boards for the wife to get in and out of truck I thought 2" on the front would be perfect .Is a 2" Spacer lift safe for my ball joints ? Thanks very much for any advice .:favorites13:

Seems to be hit or miss with the spacers. Bilstein 5100 shocks have been highly recommended on the forums here and is what I went with. However, with that said I did order the Mevotech control arms and will be installing them as well.

3" front is a bit much for just a spacer. You'll definitely have ball joint problems

+1, really wouldn't use a 3" spacer. It will definitely case ball joint problems.

Bilsteins at 2.1" or the Rancho QLL shocks are what I would choose for you. The lift height you're looking for and no other issues.

Spacer lifts are less desirable on our trucks, given the other available options. Depending on which spacer you chose, you can have ball joint issues, CV axle binding, steering rack over extension. That Motofab kit is a disaster waiting to happen... :favorites13:
