Try formatting the USB as FAT32...
I tried that. I had the jump seat and the same USb worked fine. I think the center console I swapped in is out of a 2015 so the media hub is different. I think that might be my problem.

Did a little research on this and apparently the hub and wiring is different. I will have to try to locate a part number for the harness in the center console and order a media hub (68328704ac). Apparently there is a jumper I can use with the current harness.

You got it. Your radio looks the same as older 8.4 UConnect radios but is actually different hardware and manufacturer than older versions. Replacing the hub in your center console will allow you to use the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto features of your 2019 radio.

I picked up my new to me 2018 Ram 1500 Express in August. Just got done switching the front row jump seat to a console with rear air (awesome thread here BTW), installed upper glove box with light, upgraded steering wheel controls for radio volume and channel switching, Katzkin front seats and tuffy security front and back. Only thing I had to do that was slightly hard was cut open the air box for rear air and modify the opening for the media center upper console to accept the 2018 media center inputs. Took me, a weekend when I had everything done. Doing the leg work tracking down all the parts is the hardest thing really. Here’s a picture of how I modified the media center inputs. Love this truck, have wanted a Ram for years because of the styling. So glad I got one before they redesigned the body.

That looks great. Did you have to use the harness adapter?

I wanted to do this with leather but wondered if I would need to splice wires to make the cooled work since my truck is only heated seats currently , did you have to do anything specific for that to work?

Plug and play. You just need alfaobd to enable the cooled option. If you a 2018 or 2019 Classic you also need the security bypass

My center console came with the brackets. There are several online parts suppliers. I have ordered from allmoparparts.com and bamwholesaleparts.com.

Front bracket - 55365120AB
Floor bracket - 55365121AD

I performed this mod yesterday. My console came from a 2013 my truck is a 2015 express. All of my wires that connected to the console were under the drivers seat. I had to pull that harness from under the seat to the carpet cutout under where the console was going to sit. I didn't have to do any splicing if the guy at the wrecking yard had not forgot the mounting brackets this would have taken about 2 and half hours. Don't look at my dirty floor mats in the pics it poured rain all day here the last 2 days.

Heres a pic of were I cut my Hvac duct I cut the back part off on the red line and connected the dual vent at that point and wrapped it in vent tape and put a screw through it to make sure it didn't come apart
