2016 Rough Idle Startup

My 2014 just started doing it with about 30,000 miles. I am going to try and clean the throttle body and see what happens since nobody seems to know a solution.

Ok, cleaned throttle body and will see if it helps my issue. It was dirty but not horrible. Piece of cake. I also put in a new pcv valve while I was working on it. Man, that is a expensive pcv valve BTW.

Yeah the mopar pcv’s aren’t cheap by far but those are one of the few parts that don’t need to be from mopar, you can use a general parts store one 12$.

Not that pcv. Standard products brand was $33 Got a mopar one for $43

Really? Dam, I guess that’s like the only perk to having an older truck is cheaper parts lol.

Let me share another "old truck surprise" 03 5.7 1500. You used to be able to (and you may still be able from some source) purchase a throttle body control module separate from the throttle body. This is the electronic component box that bolts to the side of the TB. Had to replace in 06. $400 plus. Had to replace it again in 2017. After market VDO $340 AND that includes a new throttle body.

Glad I have drive by cable vs wire then, one less part to replace.

UPDATE: I cleaned my throttle body on June 12 and my truck starts fine now. No more extra cranking and rough start up.

I don`t know if that will work for the others but it worked for me. So far so good.
