2022 2500 tailgate protector cap / spoiler

how do I remove the tail gate spoiler / protective cap from my 2022 2500 ? I have removed the 6 black plastic retainers along top inside edge , The problem is after removing the metal panel on front side of tail gate there are visible plastic clips inside the tail gate shell also holding the spoiler on . I have tried squeezing these tabs while pushing the spoiler away but it doesn't seem to release . Can anybody enlighten me on what the "trick" is . Do I have to destroy the spoiler to get it off ? Thanks in advance .

Many times, the clips break off when removing all of the plastic caps



You may be able to open the tailgate inspection cover
Use a flash light & mirror, or maybe even better,
use a Cell Phone & take pix
Then you can see how to release the clips from inside of the tailgate.
