Got a 2011 Ram Sport 1500 4x4 last Saturday. I posted pics in my intro thread last week, but I noticed something today when I filing the purchase paperwork away in our filing cabinet.
There was a check-in sheet of sorts that the dealership filled out when the previous owner traded it in. Next to the column of "NOT LEGAL" parts installed on the vehicle, they checked off "exhaust system". In the notes, they simply indicated "aftermark muffler". I knew the truck had a nice growl / rumble to it, but I honestly assumed that's how it sounded from the factory. (this is my first pick-up, first Dodge Ram, first 4x4)
See sheet below.
I went to Advanced Auto Parts this morning and picked up some Eagle One Nevr Dull for the wheels per the numerous other threads I found here on the forum. Coincidentally enough, there was another Dodge Sport (not sure what year) in the parking lot. The exhaust tips on my truck appear to be a little larger and it is definitely a bit louder than the guy I parked next to a couple of stalls down.
So I came home and started detailing it and in the middle of doing so, I crawled underneath and took some shots of the exhaust system. I wouldn't know what's factory from aftermarket and am hoping you guys can differentiate. Maybe it's all factory and he simply eliminated something from the factory system?
Here's one of the exhaust tips.
...and underneath
...and a few macro / random shots after the detail (minus the tire dressing)
** I'm assuming these are the DUAL headlights? I'm gonna be wanting an HID kit at some point in time **
** Meguiars Cleaner Wax + Ultimate Liquid Wax / How's that for a shine? **
** Dawn dish soap + warm water then Eagle One Nevr Dull **
** got my Husky rubber all-weather floor mats on order **
** it's more chrome than I'd like to have on the truck, but for now - it'll do. Eventually, I'd like to get some blacked out emblems and/or custom emblems and do away with the plastic chrome clad wheels... but again, for now - it'll do. **
** partial side shot **
