I'd be happy to do that if anyone could make a system that increases HP/TQ in the 2,000 - 3,000 rpm range, but it seems like the only gains from the CAI systems is in the 5,000 rpm range and that just doesn't offer any gain where I need it. In fact, If I remember correctly the system offered by K&N actually showed a loss of HP/TQ from the factory air box in the lower rpm ranges.

Hey guys I sent my requests over to AFE over the weekend. They got back to me and have sent a couple emails back and forth between them. They said they are gaining interest and like the fact that there is only one other competitor right now for it. I am only about 30 minutes from them and they asked me if I will be interested in them using my truck for the r&d so I of course said yes. Keep on sending inquiries so we can get them going. Last I heard he was going to check with the r&d to see when they have time.

Any news? I just ordered a Trinity so I'm gonna be needing that CAI!!!

I would think these other companies would see the demand for K&N's & be throwing out there designs. K&N got a bunch made up & now a week & a half later they are showing sold out again.
I got one & there is just not much design to them. Viking re-engineered his & this looks like the path they should have run this. I will be doing something very similar when I get a minute.

Just got this back from them 20 seconds ago:

Yes sir Ryan, we just had a 2016 Power Wagon leave the shop, we are working on the intake as we speak. Give us about 30-40 days and call me back to order one up. Thanks,

Alternative Ideas for those who can't wait

Not to muck up your thread, but it is a 6.4 CAI thread. If you're impatient like me, and don't want to wait 90 days for something that may or may not come to market, you can purchase the K&N 77-1568KTK ...

... and then replace the filter with a ProDryS from AFE. Yes, additional cost, but no oil being sucked into the intake. I know, I've been avoiding K&N for several years now too. I'm actually surprised and impressed with the plunge I took.

I attached the specs which match the K&N RF-1048 real closely. You can always wait and see too.

That was actually my Plan-B in case aFe didn't come through. That said. I just dropped a bunch of money for a Trinity so I have time to wait...and save. Great idea though, and thanks for the specs!

I can see your 2015 6.4 came with the "humidity sensor" For some reason my 2016 did not come with it & I am working with K&N to get me something to fill that void. If I have time this weekend I am going to make a plate myself out of some scrap aluminum to put on it.
Have you seen Viking's setup? I bought some supplies today to do something very similar to his setup. It can't hurt to get some extra cool air up to the box.:)

I did see it. I am thinking of some reflectix. I plan on adding the AEV snorkel which should work with this according to another guy on the PW Registrary.

One thing though, this F*er seems 100x louder than the Vaaram I had on the 5.7 1500.

Yeah I am not all that jacked up about how loud it is. I also took off the plastic engine cover for heat dissipation which I am sure dampens some engine noise. So far not impressed with it's performance either.

Anyone contact them yet? I looked on their web site and nothing yet...it's been about 44 days since the quoted post.

Yeah, it is time to check in with them again. I just sent them an email to ask what's up, if anything, with development of a CAI for the 6.4L trucks.

Received a return email from AFE saying they'd have an intake kit ready for the 6.4 heavy duties by September. For those interested in a possible alternative to the K&N kit.....

I used an AFE on my 2007 MegaCan with the 5.7L in it and liked it.

I'll be anxious to see what they come up with for my 6.4L!

I enquired to S&B Filters last week, and received a response yesterday that states they will have a CAI available in September; even gave it a part number 75-5087.
