Does anyone have any updates on tuner availability? Has anyone actually installed one of these yet?

Diablo is the only one stating they have one out for it. It will be income tax before I get one. Lol.

I want to get one for the simple fact I want to lower my tire pressure so my rear tires don't look like balloons. I emailed them asking about it. I read somewhere on here they were working on that but that was a while ago.

Lovin' the new HD section. Look at all these threads....lol.

Thought I'd bump this one. So, anyone spring for the Diablo tuner yet? Any significant mpg gains?

How about you fellas with aftermarket exhausts...are you seeing any mpg gains?

I got a little gain on mpg with true duals. And yes there have been a couple of guys with the tuners. Thee only one so far is the Diablo. And I think it was from Moe's garage or something.

Hemi fever does have a couple of tunes for the Diablo tunners for the 6.4 motor in our trucks. I just can't afford it atm. From what I hear it is noticeable.

Have you noticed the new selection on diablosports page about getting a pcm from diablo that is "unlocked" for the 15s? I think it only mentioned JK wranglers but I'm hoping that's not how it'll be for the trucks.

It's been said on here a few times that all 2015's will need this to be tuned.

Like said, every 2015 is going to need the PCM unlocked before it can be tuned, but they have not released this publicly for the 2015 Rams yet.

Meaning send the PCM in to be "unlocked" or purchase a replacement PCM which has already had this completed? HPTuner offers this service for 2015 Dodge vehicles and presumably this includes the 6.4 Ram trucks. Is Diablo doing the same thing or is this something different?

Regarding the ARH headers would you actually get away with running these without having the computer retuned? In the past I've heard this wasn't typically a good idea on Hemi engines. Also, any hard numbers (or dyno sheets) on a HP/TQ gain with these headers?

And not a single dyno pull, 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile, or towing test anywhere to see what we get for our hard earned $3,107.99

ARH Built their 6.4 headers on a brand new 2015 truck that they had to return to their local dealer, so they could not turn the speed limiter off to do a complete dyno pull. That is the only reason why they don't have a dyno number for them yet.

I'm really surprised the 6.4 market has not taken off. These parts have been out for months now, yet not many guys are running any of them. I do have about 30-40 2014 6.4 guys with Hemifever tuning and just as many with the ported throttle body, but only 1 customer that is running the headers. There are plenty of guys running the Mufflex kits, but that is strictly for sound...you dont typically gain any power from a muffler swap.

Simple physics says that more air in/out with more timing/fuel is going to make more power...its as simple as that. There is nothing special about the 6.4 in the 2500 truck that isn't going to show the same or at least similar gains to what we see on the thousands of 5.7 trucks and 6.4 cars that are running the exact same parts.

So how do they get an estimate of HP increase? And again, can we install without a tune and not blow up the motor due to an over-lean condition? Or do we really need to tune for the long tubes?

They gave us an estimated power gain of roughly 25hp/tq based on how strong the truck felt after the install. The owner of ARH actually called me during the test drive because he was so excited about how much stronger the truck felt. I would love to see a 2014 2500 throw these on with a tuner to show just how strong of an upgrade these are.

As for tuning, the truck will run perfectly fine on stock tuning. These trucks run very rich on stock tuning, so adding longtubes is only going to help get your afr where it needs to be in the low-mid 12's. Most of the stock trucks I've see have had AFR readings in the high 11's which is very rich for a N/A motor.

ARH claims no codes from their high flow cats, but I am skeptical of that. On the 5.7 trucks, most guys can go 3-4 months without a code, but then it pops up, needs to be cleared, and then you can go another 3-4 months. With tuning, we can simply disable the code for the rear o2 sensors which will eliminate any CEL.

Do you think this is true, even with the stock muffler valve/flapper?

I haven't seen any 6.4 truck dynos posted, stock or modified, but I have seen dynos from cars that have the same style of exhaust. The real restriction in most all vehicles is in the exhaust manifolds and cats, not the muffler. I would be surprised to see more than a 5-8hp increase to the wheels with a high flow muffler.

Can the code be cleared with a simple reader/scanner or does this require something more involved like a trip to the dealer? And just to clarify your comment earlier, will the 2015 tuning likely require sending in the PCM to unlock it? Also, are you still running your special on the headers?

Sorry for all the question..., but don't want to make a bad decision here.

To clear the code, you would simply disconnect your negative battery terminal for about 30 minutes. You can also try putting a spark plug non fouler in between the exhaust pipe and the o2 sensor which pulls the sensor out of the exhaust stream and sometimes helps keep the codes away.

And as for tuning, you would either need to send your PCM in to Diablo to be unlocked or buy 1 from them that is already unlocked. As it sits now, it looks like those are going to be our only options.

I will shoot you a PM on the header pricing.
