It is possible... you would need to fab up something to direct the air from the snorkels to the sealed unit... but I would worry about rain.

Hmmmmm. Have a filter for a filter to protect the filter haha. Jk.

I thought about that with the mod being directed to the aftermarket intake. But seeing how that was has a filter far before he throttle body and a cavity to help drip the water out it made more sense. For the vararam probably need to have some type of pre filter to help absorb the water.

Hemipower36, this picture is to show you the vinyl graphic decal I had made by a co-worker to display where I got the intake from.

I like it! Nothing wrong with paying tribute to someone who is known on here for their customer service. I like that.

How are you liking the intake? Does it feel a bit more responsive? I hear it is somewhat noticeable. I have always wanted to pick one up. Haven't changed my intake yet. Usually, it is the first thing I do. When I buy, it will be from Moe's hands down.

Thanks.

Oh yeah it's noticeable... and it's just a bit louder under WOT. The mileage has gone up almost 2 mpg. I make sure to run my tire pressure right at 44 psi also. This intake is hands down, the best one I've ever bought for any of my trucks!!

^ really?! I have consistently heard that on this forum over the last couple years. Only thing I heard negative, and it has been awhile, is the figment. What do you think?

If your gettin 2 mpg gain with just the vararam, there was something goin on that dropped your mpg lower than it shoulda in the 1st place..So i dount its a gain but it just brought you up where it shoulda been..

Could be that the motor is breaking in also? Fitment was perfect tho. It's a really excellent intake

Brand new engines usually take a bit before you realize true horsepower and mpg numbers...so I've been led to believe.

The only part of the intake I found questionable was the snorkel going into the throttle body. But after installing it, I realized it needs to be flexible to make sure it seals correctly to the bottom of the hood.

Interesting... Mine has a lean like that too and I just installed it ! I was worried about the seal IMG_1195.JPG

Only thing is that Vararam forgot to punch a hole in the tube that connects to the throttle body. Had to drill one myself so I hope it holds up

It's just the way it seals against the bottom of the hood.

I see, mine had a lean before I ever closed the hood on it but if everyone's is the same then I can't worry too much

Vararam 3 month update...

Its been exactly 3 months since i installed the vararam on my 2016 ram 1500 big horn cc 4x4.
First and foremost, i cannot say enough good things about this setup. Im extremely happy to say the least!
That being said, i have realized at least 1.5 mpg increase, as i use my cruise control religiously. The throttle response is also snappier, and the sound at WOT is perfect. The dealership i bought from in niagara falls ny saw it when in for my first oil change, and since, 4 of the mechanics have purchased the same setup for thier rams.
I know the whole Cai subject is touchy, but in my humble opinion, the vararam is a very nice bolt in upgrade. It has done what it claimed to, and looks so much nicer.

Vararam 3 month update...

Nice. Good to here. I have a 14' and I need to get this done. I have read of fitment issues in the past. Did you experience any?
