Yeah, I was talking to my local dealer and they hardly sell any PWs, they do sell a lot of the Tradesmans in Cedar Rapids.
I pulled my Power Wagon and in tow a factory lifted travel travel trailer (both with large off-road tires) into an Iowa RAGBRAI bicycle's campground last year. Immediately, the campground host saw my setup and stated that my vehicle looked totally out of place. Coming from the Rockies of Colorado and into Iowa I guess we did.
My new set of 35 12.50R17 Toyo C/T's are on order for my Power Wagon. It takes 1 to 2 weeks to get stuff out here due to there are no warehouses within approximately 250 miles around. Got to have a good 4x4 to even think about living here.
Power Wagons and good 4x4's are in high demand in the following states (below). I drove to Salt Lake City to get a better deal than anything in Colorado had to offer.
iSeeCars did a little research and discovered the 10 states with the most 4WD and AWD vehicles.
- Montana, 71.8%
- Alaska, 70.9%
- Wyoming, 70.1%
- North Dakota, 67.8%
- Vermont, 67.8%
- South Dakota, 66.1%
- West Virginia, 65.7%
- Maine, 65.7%
- Colorado, 64.7%
- Idaho, 63.4%
