Can this be added to a 2024 after market?

Thats the last place you should go for a LSD.

Find an offroad shop that specialises in gear swaps. They'll throw in a TruTrac ;)
I don't know if a TruTrac is out for the 2024s? The one Eaton lists for the Ram 1500 (which is what I'm running) only shows up to 2020.

Might have better luck finding a dealer who will swap out for the factory lsd rear.

They told me the computer has to be reprogrammed for everything and that they can't even add a charging pad, let alone a LSD.

My dealer would probably do it, even if the truck was under warranty, and not void the warranty - as long as I keep bringing it back to them.

If your dealer claims they can't add the charging pad, they're full of **** - I had the ETBC added to my wife's truck (a bit more than I was expecting but still fairly cheap) and no issues with the warranty. It sounds to me like you've got a dealer that just wants to do oil changes, and I'd be looking for a different dealer if you want to keep going to a dealer (which isn't a bad idea when you're under warranty, if you're worried about such things - some people aren't, I personally am).

Am I paying more for peace of mind? Probably. Does it bother me? Not really, since I have a pretty competent service department and a good working relationship with the service manager.

Do you feel any difference running lsd? I mean, unless you have a ton of power or want to do some good doughnuts, I wouldn’t think it would really matter. Or am I just plain out wrong?

If the OPs truck is 2wd then it would most definitely be beneficial, no one wheel peel.
I had a 2wd truck that I had a limited slip installed in that didn’t have it from factory and was able to go way more places than I ever could with an open diff, just couldn’t be scared of the skinny pedal. It all depends on the OPs intended use.

I have had LSD on all my RAMs except for my 2019. I definitely noticed a difference when starting on gravel or grass that was on an incline. It was the only thing I didn't like about my '19.

Yeah I'm headed to another dealer today. They have 2 trucks with LSD on the lot that are in my price range so I hope to be driving one home this afternoon.

I have found no situations where it was a negative to have the TruTrac versus quite a few where it's been beneficial to have it. Ice/snow no longer just spins one side (hill leaving my neighborhood and stop light on a hill going to work), backing the camper on grass and forest camping roads, leaving a stop light, I don't have to worry anymore. It was worth it IMO, but I was coming from an open diff, if I had the factory LSD it likely would have been absolutely fine for my needs.

Thanks everyone. I pulled the trigger on a 24 HD Rebel. Definitely made sure it had factory LSD.

2 wheels actually driving it. Is always better than 1. Without an lsd in the back. It’s really only 1 wheel drive . Which you’ll find out in mud ,gravel or trying to get your boat up the ramp. Not to mention the $nuts. Lol
