Can this be added to a 2024 after market?

Dealer is telling me no....
I don't know if a TruTrac is out for the 2024s? The one Eaton lists for the Ram 1500 (which is what I'm running) only shows up to 2020.Thats the last place you should go for a LSD.
Find an offroad shop that specialises in gear swaps. They'll throw in a TruTrac
Do you feel any difference running lsd? I mean, unless you have a ton of power or want to do some good doughnuts, I wouldn’t think it would really matter. Or am I just plain out wrong?I don't know if a TruTrac is out for the 2024s? The one Eaton lists for the Ram 1500 (which is what I'm running) only shows up to 2020.
Might have better luck finding a dealer who will swap out for the factory lsd rear.
If the OPs truck is 2wd then it would most definitely be beneficial, no one wheel peel.Do you feel any difference running lsd? I mean, unless you have a ton of power or want to do some good doughnuts, I wouldn’t think it would really matter. Or am I just plain out wrong?
Yeah I'm headed to another dealer today. They have 2 trucks with LSD on the lot that are in my price range so I hope to be driving one home this afternoon. My dealer would probably do it, even if the truck was under warranty, and not void the warranty - as long as I keep bringing it back to them.
If your dealer claims they can't add the charging pad, they're full of **** - I had the ETBC added to my wife's truck (a bit more than I was expecting but still fairly cheap) and no issues with the warranty. It sounds to me like you've got a dealer that just wants to do oil changes, and I'd be looking for a different dealer if you want to keep going to a dealer (which isn't a bad idea when you're under warranty, if you're worried about such things - some people aren't, I personally am).
Am I paying more for peace of mind? Probably. Does it bother me? Not really, since I have a pretty competent service department and a good working relationship with the service manager.
I have found no situations where it was a negative to have the TruTrac versus quite a few where it's been beneficial to have it. Ice/snow no longer just spins one side (hill leaving my neighborhood and stop light on a hill going to work), backing the camper on grass and forest camping roads, leaving a stop light, I don't have to worry anymore. It was worth it IMO, but I was coming from an open diff, if I had the factory LSD it likely would have been absolutely fine for my needs.Do you feel any difference running lsd?
