I have an electronic cutout on my truck so it goes from one extreme to the other, I think its all in your head when it feels sluggish, when they are loud you swear they are working harder but I think its just our perception. Mines runs the same in the quarter with it straight piped or stock exhaust, about 1\10 quicker straight piped actually (after the converters)
