Another happy Mufflex guy. It arrived on Thursday evening and I installed it the next morning. Very straightforward and simple. Some WD40, a 15mm wrench and a little muscle and it's done. I am glad I didn't pay someone to do it.

Did you have to remove the tailpipes or were you able to let them hang while you swapped out the muffler?

just let them hang. Just kinda move them out of the way. You will need to realign them afterwards.

^^ yep I had removed mine so I could spray the rear bumper (plastidip) but didn't need to in order to swap out the muffler.

Just spray the rubber hangers with some WD40, or similar, and you will be able to move things around pretty easily.

I stumbled across a cut out that really can't my eye. To bad it has to be welded in and there's no exhaust shops close. I really wonder if a man could just clamp it in.

I did the complete catback on the wife's Charger so I think this should be a lot less of a hassle.

Cowboy.... If you do it with clamps be sure to use some high heat RTV to make sure it seals up. Otherwise up it may throw a code.

Find a buddy with a welding machine and buy him a case of beer.

I did the 18" Mufflex today. Use Permatex silicone..works great for any leaks. The hardest part was getting the old muffler off. Sounds nice too, she purrs now!

I have the 18" Magnaflow as well and they sure sound good; just for cosmetics , Sunday I changed out the 2 factory exhaust tip's to 5"X12" chrome slant cut w/rolled edges and YES IT DOES make the exhaust deeper sounding, love it!
