Looking to replace my lower control arms since the bushings are starting to wear. Planning on using the mevotech heavy duty ones since Michigan roads suck. I've replace control arms on many vehicles but the ram lower ball joint worries me. It almost looks like I'll have to pull the knuckle and cv shaft just to get the lower ball joint out.

I can't speak of the Mevotech lower control arms , but I've had the Mevotech Upper control Arms for over 35,000 miles with no issues .
I have Bilsteins 5100s installed @ + 2.8" and I 4 wheel often and zero issues with my Mevotech UCAS .

This was what I removed to replace the control arm. The hardest part by far was removing the bolts holding the control arm to the frame. They were seized and a total pita.

I had to replace my bushings. after a couple of hours of trying to get the control arm alignment bolts off they where seized and just end up cutting it off witch was kind of a mistake considering there 35$ a bolt and only available at the dealer. I was going to just replace the bushings but after doing some pricing comparisons and my time line it end up just being easier to buy an all new control arm with bushings and ball joint.its one of those jobs that you think should be quick and easy but never goes that way 86cedf28ab1d62b7dea79887a13c431c.jpg

I opted for Moog lowers.
Solid iron & weigh a ton, greasable ball joints installed, bushings too.
Mevotech uppers.
