I hooked up a relatively small drive to my wife's van - same radio as the trucks.......no go. I think the max is a 32GB and has to be formatted as FAT32? I don't think it will read NTFS drives

I just tested a 32gb sandisk USB stick loaded with 30 gbs over 4000 songs. In the radio USB port it worked but didn't see all the songs. In the glovebox USB port it saw every song.

So I suggest just buying a large USB stick and use that. Although you do need to break that up to less than 2000 song batch to import them to the mygig hard drive.
