What quad cab crew cabs running 12s with bolt on and tunes?

I'm talking 4 door vs 4 door. Not single cabs. The fastest 4 door 8speed I seen on here is Jay greens. That's a low 13 second truck with him driving it.

Even then, I doubt it would beat the Eco. The HEMI is a dog until it hits 3,500. The HEMI is a very reliable engine. It's a very good engine that sounds good. It just lacks low end power. Reminds me of those freaking 4cyl engines that you have to wind to 5k RPM to get any decent power. I love the truck, but my truck will not even chirp the tires under any conditions, TC off....nope. Nothing. The Eco would damn near shred the tires.

The Ram is the best looking truck though, hands down. I get more compliments on the Ram.

U can't spin the tires? There's something wrong here. I have a damn 5 speed in mine and 3.92 gears and in the rain I constantly slide and spin the wheels on complete accident. This thing has so much power I can turn the tc off and drift around my neighborhood on dry pavement. I agree it really gets going at 3500 rpm but it's not slow up until then at all. You must've never driven a 5.3 vortec lol.

i did the same thing as OP. on the green light, stomp on the gas and i killed my gf brothers ecoboost by at least 4 truck lengths

Those ecoboost ford's are pretty impressive with a tune but I have to wonder how long the tranmissions will hold up to those brake-boostin launchs....

Really looked hard at the Fords but damn they wanted $7-8k more for a compariably equipped model of my Outdoorsman Ram.

Forcepro: I deeply wanted a Toyota Tundra TRD but the $$$ was just a bit more then I wanted to pay-->With 2 kids fixing to be in college.

I had the same issue-->Ford/Chevy were both Considerably Higher with very similar options... This Ram has exceeded all my Expectations so Far...The Hemi/8sp/3:92 was the deciding Factors...

Co-workers are starting a Pickup buying Frenzy! 2 new 2014 F150 Ecoboosts and 1 2015 F150 4dr 3.5L ecoboost has been ordered-->They are already started the Trash Talk!

Nothing wrong. Cant spin mine either! Maybe a 3 inch section of 'chirp". I don't see it ever just lighting up the tires in smoke (unless wet, but then no smoke) Never had a vehicle that could, actually unless it was a stick.

What kinda pavement you guys have that allows such slip? Or you guys just don't have decent tires or something!!

Put it in 2wd

The other night I decided to try it WOT for the first time, all I got was just a little chirp and it goes. Next light, I disabled TC and got wheel spin until it got in 3rd gear.

Also for town driving the tow/haul is better IMO since it shift at higher rev and disable MDS apparently.

tried it once in my truck for the heck of it. '13 1500 hemi QC 4x4 with 6 speed and 3.55s. barely chirped the tires with traction control off. mid range pulld unbelievable though

Once u get over 3500rpm the truck pulls. Low end not so good 6 speed 2wd 3.55 quad cab. But I love my hemi ram! doesn't have to be the fastest!

Well I'm not completely stock. I'm picking away. I've done some appearance stuff, and my LSD unit accidentally fell out of another truck off the lot where a good friend of mine happens to be a service manager. Amazing how that worked out.

I did have a $2k shopping cart at Moe's back around Christmas, but I'm Canadian Eh.... and the exchange rate sucks eh... so my $2k in toys was going to cost $3k by the time I had it at my door.

Beyond that, the 05 was loooong paid for and I had mod money. Now I'm hogging money away at the '14 to chip away at debt. At least until we're a little closer to parity. Even a $1-$1 I still get hit with taxes and duty coming across. So we always pay more than you guys unfortunately. Car culture is almost nonexistent in Canada.
