Avg MPG? I know, it is subjective to how heavy your lead foot is

I was getting 14.3 mpg hand calculated at each fill up on stock wheels and tires. then I put in an AEM dryflow air filter and I got 16.0 mpg on the last tank. We're on winter blend gas up here in WI, so that will affect my mpg also.

My driving is mixed about 60/40 city hwy, with 160 miles of my tank going 70-80 mph on the highway. the rest is about 35-45 mph city roads with stop/go traffic. No other performance mods.

just wondering what others are getting.

I was getting a average of 17mpg with more hwy than city and a heavy foot.

After the 35s I would guess around 14mpg, need to get my speedo rest to now exact numbers.

Going to try to get the dealer to flash it, I figure they should be able to set it for a 285x70x17 like is on the Rebels and that should put it close enough for me.

If not I will look at the tire size programs I seen on here, just haft to search agian to find the info.. lol

Texas is as flat as humanly possible and I am 80% highway and I see 19.x normally. Lowered truck, 2wd, 8 spd and 3.92.

My previous was a 2010 lifted on 35’s and I could still see high 16’s if I kept my foot out of it. 3.92’s also.

Anything beats my 2012 Tundra. 11.9 lifted on 35’s and no more power than the Ram and a hideous interior.

Are the numbers being posted on 87 or 89. I've ran 87 since new with zero issues, but am tempted to try an 89 experiment to see if there is any mpg increase. I've always stuck with 87 after reading that, in rural areas especially, gas stations don't have a high turnover rate on 89 so the 87 or 91 is typically fresher gas. Don't know if there's any truth to that, but I never wanted to pay more for stale gas....

I've gone to 87 for the last couple of tanks, and been getting about 16.5 average. That's what it was before on 89 before installing the Pedal Commander. It dropped ti 15.8 after that. Since turning it off, it's gone back up.

I'm using 87. the only time I ran 89 in any vehicle was my Porsche, but it would retard the spark if I ran 87.

Wahrsuul, seems like you don't like the PC.

Stock wheels and tires, 80/20 city/highway. Get 17.1-18 in the city and around 18.3-20 on the highway depending on how late I am haha. I also have progressive snapshot so I tend to coast a lot bc it dings you if you brake quickly so I tend to roll up to red lights, stop signs etc.

More power, better mileage, my truck runs smoother on it.
87 works fine but your truck ******* timing which pulls power.
It might not be much power but are we not allways chasing more power ? guys spend $300 bucks on CAI to get 5 to 10hp and going from 87 to 89 octane could be about the same gain ?
