Backlit ram emblem

I broke down and purchased a kit from a small shop out of Texas that make these. My OCD kicked in and I instantly regretted not marking these myself once I opened the box. The eyes were crooked, they used 3mm leds which I think is perfect but the holes they drilled were closer to 5mm, and when I took a night shot you can see half of the ram emblem (like the paint wasn't double or triple coated in that area). The backlight is suppose to shine only on the outside and not glow through the ram head. So I have to mask everything off and spray some more black on the ram head and horns to finish this product. If this doesn't fix it, I might just take my stock one I took off and drill more accurate eye holes in that to fix my irritation. View attachment 138810

Does your emblem illuminate with a dim red for running lights and then bright red for brakes?

I bought this emblem but had a real hard time wiring it up. I could get the dim running light but as soon as I stepped on the brake pedal the bright red would illuminate and not revert back to dim after I let off the brake.

There was a howto diy somewhere on one of the forums where a guy took his front emblem off and scraped the chrome or black paint off on the inside of the emblem and added LEDs to make the ram glow. I wish I could find this again! But my parents got me a lighted tailgate kit for my birthday last year. For some reason no matter what it won’t work with my brake lights to make it brighter! Ugh.

If anyone knows about the tutorial to do the front please let me know! I know you can buy one but I’d rather do custom!
