To remove grille:
Under the hood there is the plastic cowl that covers the top of the grille that has 6 push clips that has to be remove and the cowl will come off. After that is off you'll see 4 10mm bolts that hold the grille. After they are removed pull out an upwards to get the two bottom clips in each corner to come out.
Remove emblem from grille:
You'll see 4 lock tabs behind the grille. Release the top one first the the two side ones and the emble will come off.
Taking emblem apart:
On the back off the emblem there is 2 holes with snap locks that have to be pushed out wards and the black backin will fold and can then be removed.
Cut a piece of plexiglass in the shape of the black backing and sand with 220 grit to fog the glass.
On the back of the chrome ram you will see 4 slots where the black backing tucks under the chrome. You'll need to shave the plexiglass so it will fit under them.
LED strip:
Place two 6" LED strips as shown
Next you'll have to make a small hole to pass the wire through
Reinstall the emblem:
You'll have to line the outside off the emblem with a 1/8" strip of 3M tape all the way around the emblem and stick in place
Reinstall the grille.
Hook up power:
I tied into the running light on the pass. side. You can do what I did or put it on a switch.
Parts needed:
8"x10" plexiglass $3.00 (Lowes)
Pack of two 6" led flexible strips $12.00 (Autozoo)
18 gauge wire (I had)
Wire taps
The way I did it if you ever get tired of it you can put it back stock without any issues.
