High mileage 5.7 . I have the valve cover off, it appears that there is still pushrod action.
Anyone know how to tell if it is a bad cam or a collapsed lifter?
Thanks

Pull the head so you can get at the lifter that appears bad.I'd lay odds you're probably looking at doing both cam and lifters,as the Hemi doesn't really have an issue with collapsed lifters. They will bend a pushrod if the timing chain jumps, but usually they also bend the valve to,and you'd definitely hear a bent valve.
