I went with the transdapt kit and had to get a different filter from the stock one because of the threads. So I went bigger.. ALOT bigger! Besides the extra oil in lines and filter helping the temps, filtering more oil, and making my oil changes faster, anyone see a downside to using a bigger filter?

I used -8AN hose and fittings. The rubber lines and brass fittings that came with the kit didn't give me confidence.

I just upgraded my filter kit to the 3/4-16 filter mount and am now running the xg8a filter. Was previously running the xg2 filter which is stock 22-1.5 mount. How’s your oil pressure? I’m also running -10 an hose and fitting on mine

Getting ready to install today or tomorrow. I will keep posted on the pressure. I had to wait for a new dipstick tube.. My long tubes melted it and it cracked so I need to install the new one so I can see how much oil will be needed. I have 9 qts of RP 5w20 I'm thinking I will only need 7 1/2 to 8. Did you use nylon or stainless to make your lines? I went stainless and they killed my fingers lol.

Nylon. I didn’t want to shred my hands. Lol. Only used about 7.5 qts. Using 5-30 pup I’m at 51-52 psi driving and around 38 psi idling

I guess I won't be installing this weekend. Spoke to a dodge tech and he gave me the procedure instructions to remove the left engine mount to get to the dipstick tube. Tough areas and removing the cross member not my cup of tea not to mention I drive truck and don't have a full day to do this. Also guesstimated about 600 bucks at the dealer to replace the oil tube.
Why would FCA make this such a difficult job.. nevermind I answered that myself! :biggun:

You can buy the transdapt kit with the 3/4-16 filter mount and lose the hassle of the 22-1.5 filters. I can buy the xg8a style anywhere. I bought a different kit but ended up swapping parts anyways
