I have a 2012 Ram 1500. Check engine light came on and apparently my brake pedal position sensor is not working. Haven't been doing any burnouts, so I just assume the sensor is dead(?). After a few Google searches, is replacing it as easy as ordering the sensor and popping it back in like the videos show? Will I need to have the computer reset? Or is this something I should maybe take to a professional?

Thanks for your help!

These switches are usually self adjusting. Its just an on/off switch so there is no calibration other than setting the position mechanically.
