It then proceeds to have you upload the updated file to the truck. So in short you dont need to waste time calling tech support at Bullydog, the file they sent me and said was the correct application for my truck was the one already in the update agent.

I was told by BD I was also current with the latest update I had via the updater software... only to find out a day later I was a few versions behind. Still to this day the updater software always downgrades me. The latest update I know of is A013 which someone shared on another forum. Wish BD would list the latest version on their site for DL.

Also for other posters with the esp issue from what i understand even if you turn the esp off using the tuner you still want to hit the button on your dash for fun time. I did that and I cant launch worth a crap with the tuner and the esp fully off. I even tried launching as low as 1500 rpms and still peeled halfway through first before i had to let off a hair to get it to hook. Its really hard to get a good 0-60 times when you cant hook up out of the hole :smoke2:

And I also would never run lower octane on the performance tune. Luckily I have access to 93 where I am and have no problem paying the bit more for the fun factor. Like Hemi450 said the whole purpose of the performance tune is to advance timing so you can milk more power out of the hotter octane fuel. If your truck is eating up the other gas faster than the regular you could have some other issue (unlikely) or should maybe consider going somewhere else for gas (probably this). My truck currently is consuming fuel at the same rate as before the tune and im driving it quite a bit harder with the tune so theoretically its probably getting me better mileage. When it comes down to it its about 7-8 bucks more per tank to fill up with premium over regular. Maybe its just me but I dont see that as much of a difference when we pay almost $100 already to fill these trucks up.

My truck still will not light up the tires, and it's a RT with 4:10 rear end. I just went to Houston for a week and just left my BD in my center console. Once you load it, it's loaded. My last up date was A019, yes it seems like it has better throttle response but that's just my thoughts. I've got no hard data on any real improvements. Yes you can change the shift points, yes you can change the ideal rev limit but for 500+ I don't think I would have done this as my first mod....
A019 you pick the 2012 Ram 5.7 download, if you completely uninstall before you install the update it loads the first time no problem.

So turn "off" traction control in the BD tuner and then also push the button on the dash? Right now I have my tuner in Regular tune and with the button on the dash pushed "traction control off", from a dead stop I can floor it and spin for about 10 - 15 feet and then it grabs traction. I would like to light em up all way through first for play time every now and then.

Even with traction control off there is some ESC nanny that always catches you and cant be turned off, the truck is just too heavy to continuously spin the tires. If you want to spin them all through 1st and 2nd you would need a supercharger.....

I didn't mean through BOTH gears. I knew there was no way that would happen, figured through most of 1st gear would be possible. thanks

Tq converter will take care of the smoky burnouts. Combine a 2800-3000 stall converter with that tuner, and you will burn through 1st gear anytime you want.

How does a 2800 stall act during just normal acceleration and driving around town?

I guess that'll be my next mod then. That would make an excellent Christmas present to myself!

Even with my BD Traction control off and my console traction control off my tires just barly spin.
If the road is a little bumpy and lets my RPM get up a little then and only then Will my truck light them up, into second.
I always get a second gear chirp when I smash on it.
Is anyone getting a funny Exaust sound at second under high RPM's?

Haven't noticed any weird sounds from the exhaust. Backfire or what?

It's just a weird exhaust noise as the truck shifts to second, the RPMs drop, kind of a gurgling noise.

Sounds like the torque management kicking in and cutting rpms. I could be wrong though...
