BTW, watching your video (hearing you talk) made me miss Tennessee....lol. Lived there (Ft, Campbell, north of Nashville) for over 4 yrs.

Just installed my carven exhaust my wife got me for Christmas.... Wow that sounds awesome, much better than the flowmasters I had on my last truck. Glad I took all of your advice

Lol....me too. If you're someone that's not sure if you want loud or concerned about dealing with drone, then this IS NOT the exhaust for you. If you already have an aftermarket exhaust and it's loud but not loud enough, then this IS the exhaust for. That's the best way I can explain it.

Not really a Performance install .....the website says 8 hp gain and 23ft lbs of tq increase ..
. Pretty sure those #s only apply with other engine performance installs and not as a stand alone install ?

Well , I chose this muffler for sound only .

I listened to several sound bites on YouTube and after careful consideration I chose CARVEN Competitor Series.

I LOVE IT !

I wasn't a believer on the power gains either until some dyno tested a stock truck then with the carven muffler. I cant remember where the thread is but its out there.

I recently installed the progressive on my 14 Ram and am pretty happy with it. Sounds awesome, little bit of drone depending on RPM and load but nothing crazy. Install was easy aside from the stock bolts being rusted beyond help and forcing me to just cut the muffler off.

I just installed the progressive series earlier today on my 2013. Install was straight forward and easy. It sounds great cruising and when you're heavy on the throttle, but it sounds a bit raspy at moderate throttle, I am not sure if I will be keeping it. I've had a lot of vehicles with aftermarket exhausts and rasp is one thing I can't stand.

I installed the competitor series and no rasp there imo , still an aggressive idle and awesome when you get on it !
Light throttle has a good cadence imo

I suppose raspy wasn't the correct word. It just has a lot more sound in the midrange than I like. It sounds awesome just quite a bit louder than I was expecting from all the sound clips I listened to. I must be getting old. Thanks for your input.
