I just switched my seat for the center console. I had no problem to locate my cb before , but now I don't have any idea where to install it ( it a cobra 29lx so it's a big radio... )

How did you mounted yours ?

thank you !

I want to see pics also. I have been looking for places to install. I do not want to put holes in my dash if i dont have to. I have and external speaker that i can mount so I was possible thinking about mounting the CB under the drivers seat. I have a straight mic line that should reach.

I'm curious for some other mounting locations as well. I can use that little book where the console and dash meet because that is where I mounted my switch panel

I haven't switched my CB over to my Ram yet from my last car...its been three years so clearly i've been slacking. If I do install it I think I would put it under the radio screen where that pull out drawer is. That way it would basically be just like another part of the center console and radio and everything.

Finally I put it there. Nothing permanent , just squeezed into the in the side of the console.

I drive semi trucks for a living and I have a CB in every truck that I drive. I guess it's just a habit to have one. It's good when there are accidents and speed traps and all around good humor.

I use mine for when I go off roading and whenever I take road trips with family. It's nice to just listen and talk among truckers on line drives down the interstate too.

Why do you guys have cb radios?

IMO

Many time I follow a co-worker in another truck so we can talk. Also in the wood where there is no phone signal I can know if there is wood truck is coming or If I need help or anything else.

I'm suprised CB's are still used. I wouldn't mind having one, but don't have a need for it.

There are still used a lot here. Mostly by truckers. And sometime it's mandatory to announce you location at every km on wood company trails.

They are really usefull when I follow my friend since the cellphone is illegal here but not the cb's ( just use your head and not use in the traffic or when any distraction could be bad , use of the common sense lol..)

Here I can't live without it since it still be really used. Really usefull to avoid traffic.
